Alabamas defensive rank went from 31 in 2007 to 3rd in 2009. It's pretty obvious where he devoted his recruiting efforts. Even Saban couldn't do it in one season

What metric are you using?

Every one that I've looked at thus far shows that they were decent in 2007 and became elite in 2008 on forward. Off of one recruiting class, best one of all time it would seem to have that type of effect.

So you wanted to talk about Shula (lol) and the 2005 team, but conveniently fail to mention Shula’s 2006 team. Or the 2004 team.

2096 was the same record as 2007, less abowl loss

Probation had nothing to do with 2097.

Maybe check facts before spewing false information

That's an opinion Roger. Not a fact. Maybe it's time for bed. You can bang on your keyboard some more tomorrow.

31st is decent, not elite

Saban rebuilt the defense but it didn't happen in one season

Well I guess I should go back and add that the brain trust that is the SEC media days predictions (the same ones that picked LSU to finish 5th in 2018), predicted Bama to finish 3rd in the West in 2008.

If anything can be learned from this, maybe it’s time to stop citing media days predictions as some sort of gospel. They have shown time and time again they aren’t very good at this.

Or we can keep pretending like they are good at this and so when they are wrong O fans can keep touting how “LITERALLY NO ONE believed in O” (including them since I bet none of them will post their own post history to show where they predicted a 10 win season).

Look at this spin

Of course it's fact. Alababa was off probation by 2005.

The book scandal was investigated internally starting in 2007. The NCAA didn't even have it at that time

But keep squirming little buddy

2096? 2097?

We out here in 2019 and Roger the Shrubber is like pfft get on my level sons.

Maybe that is why he knows already how good the 2019 class is gonna be.

Right. No one worries about the 5 year repeat offender window, which is why they vacated wins for a text book scandal.

You're out of your depth, as usual.

LSU is favored in 11 games.

But given the fact that LSU regardless of coach has lost a game it shouldn’t have for 7 years running, I’ll say 11-2.

At least I know Alabama was given 5 years of probation in 2002, not 3.

One of us is definitely spouting bullshite that we have no idea about, irony is it isn't me.

The only one whining here is you because you are getting taken to the woodshed worse than Alabama did in January.

You're the rube who thought the violations announced in 2009 impacted 2007

I mean, that's just retarded.

2 year post season ban and 5 years probation Roger. This is an actual fact.

The first season after a 5 year probation. The probation had no impact though.

Solid logic.
