My youngest is graduating from LSU on the 20th. Where is a really nice restaurant in BR for an after graduation dinner?

Well, in Baton Rouge, none.

I will forward you a list of nice restaurants in St. George if you like. It will be much safer for you and the fam.

Graduation times are staggered. Might be better to do a lunch if it’s early. But to answer your question: Mike Anderson’s, Ruffinos, Parrains, Ruth Chris

There are great restaurants in BR but if you want really nice and worth it...I'd say go to New Orleans. So many excellent choices. Only an hour away. Worth it.

I feel like Mansurs on the Boulevard isn't talked about enough. Have always had a good meal there.

Ruth’s Chris
Ruffino’s
Nino’s
Juban’s
Sullivan’s

After dinner go have a drink on the terrace at Tsunami downtown.

But if you don’t have reservations by now good luck.

No one has mentioned The Chimes...even though getting in would be more than difficult, still needs mentioning.
Also, Gino's .. in fact that's where I went when I graduated.

Louisiana Lagniappe possibly ??

Stroube’s has fed the Gameday crew and has a phenomenal atmosphere. It’s where I did my graduation party from LSU.

Cecilia’s is fairly new (18 months I think) but is my favorite in town.

Best food - Ruth’s Chris, Mansur’s

Stabs and Ruffinos have nice atmosphere but food at Ruffinos is average at best for what you pay. Stabs is good but very pricey.

Juban’s is always solid as is Stroubes.

Gino’s is great for Italian. Little Village as well.

Mike Andersons
Parrains
Ruffinos

You better get to calling around and make sure you can get in. That may be what makes your decision for you.

Far from the truth! New Orleans restaurants season their food for tourists. BR has several that blow NOLA restaurants away.
