LSU should have ZERO problem getting any coach they want over syracluse.
You say that, but he has strong ties to that area and Syracuse will always be more focused on basketball than LSU. They aren’t going to suddenly become a fricking mid-major.

Schertz is going to get better offers than LSU.
Would love to have him but the hottest name this off-season isn’t going to take the LSU job.
Signed a long term extension to stay at St. Louis

Meanwhile, Wade has losses of 41 to Louisville, 29 to both Duke & Virginia over last 5 weeks & a losing record vs SEC teams NC State faced this season.

You say that, but syracluse is about to be joining WF, Pitt, NC state, and others in a league that will have teams like Old Dominion playing with them, in the have not neighborhood of college athletics.
I'm not gonna rehash again what I and others have posted numerous times on the board, but long story short. LSU will receive an SEC payout of $71 million this year, and syracluse will receive around $25-30 million from the ACC.
And the gap will widen noticeably as each year passes. Now who do you think is in a stronger position to hire the basketball coach they want-LSU or syracluse?

I missed your last line. There is a DAMNED GOOD chance syracluse will be a mid-major in the next 5-10 years. Along with a host of other schools that will surprise you.
