and who else did they play?

but we don't know for sure if Boise could have hung with them,
i do
i watched the fiesta. and the la tech game. and the nevada game.
and i KNOW BSU wouldn't have gone undefeated in teh SEC

with wins over two BCS teams
Oregon and?

I'll wait for TCU to accomplish something, like finishing in the top 7 two years in a row and having 3 All-Americans. Oh wait...
BCS Wins: 0
you can't claim you're an elite program with 0, BCS wins
Utah has 2
BSU has 2
TCU has 0

2006, it's questionable. Probably would be a very good game, could go either way.
We beat you like a drum in 06. Like I said, we're a better program.

Two national championships this decade as opposed to one of yours. We beat you pretty resoundly in the second one. We also play in a better conference. I'll go back to my original reasoning - how are you against the SEC lately?
Told you this would be their reasoning, when they should compare facilities, BCS Games, W/L record overall, Coaching, etc. Yet they can only refer to 2007 when that is one game, if we go by that reasoning then Ole Miss is better than LSU because they continue to beat them.

I'm still not getting your logic. I think we pound Ohio State in 2006 as well. How does that make LSU a better program? It means we were better, probably in 2006.
A top 10 program should not be 10-9 vs BCS teams the last 2 years and 8-8 in conference. Overall Ohio State has been more consistent lately. They have more BCS bowl appearances and wins. Sounds like you are hinging it on 1 or 2 games from a couple of years ago.

Name nine fans that are better than you....today, yesterday...tomorrow....

LSU as a program has not seen much success in the past couple of years. But the recruiting pipeline remains strong. If you are a blue chip kid out of HS and had to choose between LSU and OSU, are you telling me you would not look past the last 2 yrs?

Depends on where they are from, OSU has great facilities, coaching, etc. It would determine playing time, the position of the kid and type of offense each runs.

What is that supposed to mean? If I was a 5* recruit I'd consider a lot of things. Are you saying you'd only look at the results of 1 or 2 games from a few years ago?

Where did I say this? I would consider the entire body of work. Probably go back 4 or 5 yrs or more to see how the program has progressed with the current coach. Perhaps look at recruiting rankings, bowl wins and championships. I would not just look a 2 bad yrs one of which was a rebuilding year.
In that respect, LSU is no worse than OSU

Which way do you want to look at it? Can't have it both ways.

2005 - Peach Bowl - beat #10 Miami
2006 - Sugar Bowl - beat #10 Notre Dame
2007 - National Champs - beat #1 OSU
2008 - Peach Bowl - beat #15 GT
2009 - Cap 1 - Lost to #13 Penn St
What's the progression here? We went from an NC, to an ok bowl game back to a NY bowl game. Show us yours.

Dude OSU has played in 5 consecutive BCS bowl games, 2 National Championship games over past 5 years. 4 Top 5 Finishes, 5 Top 10 Finishes, they have played
#5 Notre Dame
#2 Florida
#2 LSU
#3 Texas
#7 Oregon
If anything they have sustained success with no drop off.

We haven't had a dropoff since our 2004 season, so there's nothing there. And under Tressel, we've only had two non-BCS bowl seasons (2001 and 2004), never two years in a row. Miles has had three, including the last two years.
Do you really trust Miles? If so, you're a more optimistic man than I'd be, if I was an LSU fan.

Of all the arguments this one is the one with the least merit. Ohio State had two of their best recruiting classes AFTER the losses to Florida and LSU. Winning or losing one game has nothing to do with a kids choice.

And ironically, we're in the middle of one of Tressel's worst classes (it's still not that bad, just not elite like he has had), even after our Rose Bowl win, a few kids like Floyd didn't commit still.
One game isn't the difference for a kid (and it shouldn't be, really).

Offensively, it's difficult to name nine worse.

How did you do during the BCS bowl seasons vs what Miles did? Especially vs SEC teams?

LSU is bigger than Miles. LSU is and will be fine.

And like all of yours, I'll debunk this one too. If OSU's top recruiting classes were such a big deal, why did they get pistol whipped vs SEC teams in big games? And please don't give us the 'we had a bad day' story again. It's pathetic.
