This is my first time to post, although I have been following along on this site for a couple of years.
I know that this loss looks really bad right now but everyone needs to step away from the edge and take a long, deep breathe of fresh air.
Last year this team was in the NCG, undeafeated untill then, and was ranked number one for almost the entire year.
This year there was a new quarterback, massive attrition to the offensive line, and yea, some bad calls here and there.
IMO people need to stop using Alabama's success for the ultimate measuring tool for LSU football.
This is all a matter of perception, if Nick Saban had never returned to Bama they would never have gone on the crazy run they have had over the last few years. Having said that Saban is simply the best coach in college football.
What if Saban had not come back and our last two seasons had ended the same way that they have?
Would people be bailing on this program?
Without the amazing success of Bama our achievements would shine much brighter(see Oregon in the Pac12 without Pete Carroll led USC). They have very similar record to what LSU has and we crushed them a little over a year ago.
Some of the people that post here are way to close to the situation, that is they suffer from myopia.
People need to step back an look at the entire field of opponents and peers and stop making the success or failure of this LSU program depend on the outcome of the season for Bama.
I did not go to LSU but I grew up a fan of this program and during the season I become very emotionally involved with the outcome of the season. This year it sucks but I am not going to sit here and stew about some ol bull shite that I have no control over.
This is all for entertainment, you cant win every game all of the time. Sometimes people need to learn and grow. That can be painful and uncomfortable but it is a process that is essential to the growth of solid character of people, businesses, and yes even football teams.

Coach Miles has won more at LSU than Saban ever did. Are you aware of this fact?

If me and Tiger Woods are playing golf together and I birdie the first hole when he gets a par, does that mean that I stick my chest out and get cocky saying I'm better than Tiger?
