Some people are calling for Finley to start, yeah. Many, MANY more are downgrading Finley’s performance in order to defend Myles. This thread is a perfect example.

Strange. For a decade we moaned about not having a competent QB. We just lost the greatest college QB in our history. Now we have three that seem to be very talented.
We are still miserable.

We do realize that TJ was asked to do 1/10 of the offense compared to Myles right?

That's all we should need/try to do; there are no great defenses in the SEC this year, certainly not Mizzou who was missing a bunch of players as well. For much of that game our offense was three incompletions followed by a punt bc LSU seemed to think Burrow was still playing; the only reason LSU didn't get blown out was Mizzou gifting three fumbles. TJ is more poised and a better leader I think, obviously those can't be quantified

It’s sad. Some people just want to be right more than they want the team to win.

Well, it will be interesting to see how this plays out. Yes, Brennan will play when hes healthy but Finley looked really good...We shall see

Wow you think a senior is currently better than a true freshmen? Courageous take

Third times the charm here: yeah, I know, but there are far more making excuses as to why Finley played well and downgrading his performance.

My point is that these threads wouldn’t exist if comments like these weren’t being made:
quote:

Everyone knows Brennan doesn’t have “it”. He’s soft with mediocre talent, and that’s how LSU had played until yesterday.

quote:

I mean, TJ is more gifted physically, he’s more mobile, has a bigger arm and has the size to a hit!

quote:

Sorry he has had 4 years to learn and a true freshman came in and made quicker decisions than he did. Thats not saying much about Brennan

quote:

He is more likely to grad transfer out than get drafted at this point.

Or this one:
quote:

Myles, with the “full playbook” managed a whopping 27 points in his first start. And an L

Oh wait, that was you!

Interestingly, you popped up in a lot of these threads presenting an argument (albeit a passive aggressive one) about why TJ is better. So I guess it’s OK to shite on a player as long as it supports YOUR argument, amirite?

I don’t care how much the O was simplified for TJ.
The kid played really well And showed some real talent and cool play in his first start considering the fact that He is a true freshman going against an SEC program.

So, I popped up a lot in these threads, but you could only find one comment of me remotely shitting on Brennan—got me—and that was in response to some goofball saying the full playbook is better... despite averaging less points. Man, you wasted a ton of time for a sad “gotcha!” moment.

And I stand by that the best way to defend MB is not by shitting on Finley, but that seems to be the only way the Brennan devotees can think to do it.

My point in first post of this thread remains: a lot of pearl clutching over a great performance. All you’ve said this whole thread is “there are two sides to every opinion!” (Thanks, Mother Goose), and “But people were meany heads about my Mylie!”

I wish them both the best and hope the best QB leads the team! Sorry you can’t say the same.

Converting redzone opportunities and 3rd downs is most important part of any game. It’s a very small sample size, but Finley was good in that regard.
