Thanks for the perspective BamaScoop.

But you don't win 47 national championships without having high expectations.

Am I right?

Or even 1. But high expectations and destructive bitching by out of control, immature ignoramuses aren't the same thing.

What did he do so badly in 2006? (Besides maybe not firing Jimbo immediately after the Auburn game?)

Scoop, good post, but to correct you a little. Many of the seniors last year redshirted, and therefore spent two years under Saban and three under Miles. Granted, hardly any had considerable playing time before Miles got here.

Where are you posting from, ny???

It's a fine line. Some of those Saban rants seemed a little immature to me.

Shouldnt any/all of this be a moot point though if Saban even admitted that Miles did better with 'his' players than he even would have?

Sorry chicken, when I get on a roll like that after listening to all I can take, I sometimes make shite up if it makes it sound better.

I'm sure there is a word for that but I don't know what it is.

Yeah, some players left, but we also went 9-2 in the regular season when those players mattered, whereas the 2006 class helped us to a 7-5 record. Plus, all his other classes are the reason we were so good the past three seasons.

Scoop,
You can't post reasonable stuff like this on one board, then go over to the other boards and post drivel.

Make up your damn mind. I'm having an emotional meltdown trying to figure out if you're cool or you suck arse.

Oh yeah, and Bama.

Excuse me, but bull f*cking shite. Yes, there was talent here. But the idiots who keep alleging that anybody could have coached them to wins over Florida, Albama, Auburn, Ohio State, Arizona State, etc., etc., are either delusional or dishonest.

People do tend to run that "winning with the former coach's talent" thing in the ground. An average or below average coaching staff can have talented players and still lose. One example is Dinardo and his staff in 1998. That is why that argument doesn't hold up. Miles is a good head coach. He simply made a mistake that cost us a couple of games this year. If he hires the right DC, we'll probably be fine.

maybe 3 players in that class mattered ever.

"Plus, all his other classes are the reason we were so good the past three seasons"
'
