(Since my original 10/13 post was anchored )

Alabama loses to LSU: 2 losses
Ole Miss loses to LSU and Auburn: 2 losses
Mississippi State loses to Ole Miss and Alabama: 2 losses
Auburn loses to Georgia and Alabama: 3 losses

We win the tie breaker with Alabama, Ole Miss and MSU for SEWC.

The combined HTH record for the 4 tied teams at 6-2
LSU 2-1 (Beat Ole Miss & Alabama, loss to MSU)
Ole Miss 2-1 (Beat Alabama & MSU, loss to LSU)
Alabama 1-2 (Beat MSU, losses to LSU and Ole Miss)
MSU 1-2 (Beat LSU, losses to Alabama and Ole Miss)

Alabama and MSU are eliminated it goes to a 2-team tiebreaker between LSU and Ole Miss. We won the HTH matchup, so we are the SECW champs and in the SECCG vs Georgia.

We beat Georgia in the SECCG.

Do we get a nod in the Top 4 as SECC at 11-2?

We don't even absolutely need to MSU and Auburn to lose 3.

Lol
The SEC champion will be in the top 4 regardless of record
But that won't be LSU this year

Even if the Arkansas loss doesn't happen we're in if the rest fall in line.

I know, but it's the most clear-cut tie-breaker without having to go to SECE opponent records in 3-way ties at 6-2.

I disagree here... A two loss SEC champion is not getting in over a one-loss ND,Mich.st/Ohio st. Oregon,Or even a Baylor......

Here is another scenario (and a very realistic one):

Alabama loses to LSU: 2 SEC West losses
Ole Miss loses Auburn: 2 SEC West losses
Mississippi State loses to Bama and Ole Miss: 2 SEC West losses
Auburn loses to Bama: 2 SEC West losses

5 Way Tie for the SEC West, with LSU as the hottest, possibly highest ranked, team.

We would need to pull for..

USC to upset Notre Dame
A Michigan St/Ohio St loss to a 2-loss team in the B10CG.

I think we would get in over everyone else at 11-2.

A similar scenario has been discussed a few times already that doesn't require Arkansas to do anything. Everything happens as in the OP except Arkansas beating MSU. Then LSU, Bama, Ole Miss and MSU would all be tied. First tiebreaker is combined head-to-head:

LSU 2-1 (Beat Ole Miss and Bama, lost to MSU)
Ole Miss 2-1 (Beat Bama and MSU, lost to LSU)
Bama 1-2 (Beat MSU, lost to Ole Miss and LSU)
MSU 1-2 (Beat LSU, lost to Bama and Ole Miss)

That knocks out Bama and MSU. Then LSU wins it over Ole Miss with head-to-head.

Three-Team Tie (or more)
If three teams (or more) are tied for a division title, the following procedure will be used in the following order: (Note: If one of the procedures results in one team being eliminated and two remaining, the two-team tiebreaker procedure as stated in No. 1 above will be used):
A. Combined head-to-head record among the tied teams
B. Record of the tied teams within the division
C. Head-to-head competition against the team within the division with the best overall Conference record (divisional and non-divisional) and proceeding through the division (multiple ties within the division will be broken from first to last and a tie for first place will be broken before a tie for fourth place)
D. Overall Conference record against non-divisional teams
E. Combined record against all common non-divisional teams
F. Record against the common non-divisional team with the best overall Conference record (divisional and non-divisional) and proceeding through other common non-divisional teams based on their order of finish within their division; and
G. Changed: Combined SEC record of the team’s cross-divisional opponents

I would love to believe but I don't see MSU losing 3 of their last 4.

That said, if we win out regardless of what happens with other teams this would be one of my favorite seasons ever.

no

This looks more believable now, but still to much has to happen for us to make it.

Updated. See the OP.

MSU only needs to lose to Ole Miss and Alabama now.

LSU is playing great but they ain't winning the next 3

IMO, winning 2 is best cast scenario.

Most thought we would be lucky to finish 4-4 in the SEC 3 weeks ago, and some even pondered 0-8.

I think MSU will win the west.

Bama and LSU is going to be a hard fought game. MSU has a cupcake game before bama, they will likely overlook ut martin still easily beat them and beat a beat up bama.

I think Ole Miss is going to start to fall apart after this loss, this game was physical and they lost it. They are about to play Auburn, Bo has no confidence, and Auburn plays a spread and also physical football. They lose to auburn but at home. If they bounce back and beat Auburn. The MSU Ole Miss game could very well be for the west and maybe the playoff.

Auburn loses to Bama in a revenge game.

MSU has to lose two games to not win the West I think. Don't see that happening.

I don't think Ole Miss beats Auburn next week.

that changes things.

I also think MSU beats Bama.

it is possible we win the west but we have a long way to go and we would be lucky for it to happen. But hey 07 we had extreme luck and won it all, so I'm not giving up hope.
