My dream scenario would be:
tigers win sec
miles proves he's competent
crowton redems himself but is still replaced by Billy g
Patrick Peterson wins the heisman, stays for senior season
Jordan Jefferson goes pro
shep moves back to qb and will dominate

So...in this scenario...even though LSU wins the west and possibly another SECC....Miles is still a problem and needs the boot. Do you see the flaw in this logic?

Here's why there is no flaw.

When we win, we do so despite Miles, not because of him. I know you will never agree with me on this, Choctaw, and that's ok, but when you see Miles the way I see him, any scenario that gets him out of here is a good scenario.

In your results only analysis, since Miles is 51-15, he therefore must be a good coach. There can be no other explanation.

In my performance based analsyis, I see that we repeatedly can't line up properly, or get plays in on time. We think that the clock is stopped when it is actually running. We throw for the end zone when a field goal wins the game. We give one second half carry to a guy who goes for over 90+ yards in the first half, and on and on and on. These are just a few examples of all the really stupid things Miles has done and continues to do. I'm just scratching the surface. He hasn't gotten any better, or learned anything. Look at the last minute of the Penn State game. It was Ole Miss, part 2. These are not things that a good coach does, therefore, Miles is not a good coach. It's really pretty simple.

You see 51-15 and say, "thank God for Les Miles." I see 51-15 and say, "thank God we have so much talent to overcome all of the really stupid things our coach does."

Based upon these and other examples, I say we won despite Les Miles, not because of him. I wonder how many more games we would have won had we not done all of these stupid things. I wonder what a really good coach could have done over these last 5 years.

That's how I see it and my mind is made up. I don't need to wait and see how this year turns out. I already know we can do much better than Miles. So, the faster he goes, the better off we are. Pretty simple really, and I see no flaw in that logic.

How did i know your were going to lead off with this. This statement in itself is flawed logic. You're basically saying the team could just show up on Saturdays and win...which is retarded.

His accomplishments outweigh the mistakes he's made. You tend to focus on the mistakes for some reason and completely gloss over all his accomplishments....oh yea, thats right, he doesn't have any because it was all the players.

I could mention numerous mistakes all the so-called "great" coaches have made....but i dont because all coaches make them. Like the rest of the sheep on here, you completely disregard any position problems we may have and blame everything on the head coach because its the easy thing to do.

Blame Miles for everything, give him credit for nothing.

Hope to lose 51-15 for 17-20?

Our recruiting is soooo bad arse, LSU can just take a bunch of high schoolers, make them worse than when they signed LOI, according to your coaching assessment, and then let them loose on Sat nites and win 70% of all games, plus a MNC.
You are as cool as OP.

There is no logic in that, it doesn't even make sense. He's saying if we win the SEC West there's a huge problem... what? It's seriously one of the most retarded things I've ever read. Hell, this whole thread is really stupid.

See the difference between myself and many other fans, most likely like yourself is I do not judge coaches on wins v. losses...I judge what I see on and off the field as a person who understands football better than most....

Why don't you tell me then, as someone who understands football better than most... when a coach retires, do people remember how many games he won, or the manner in which he won them?

If Rich Rod leaves Michigan, the Wolverines will pursue Harbaugh heavily.
