and you HONESTLY think that with replacing 9 starters this year, they're going to do that?? NINE.

Saban is that good. I may be way off base but he just retools his teams. I think you will see the same brand of football with him. A great D and a boring but effective offense.

Yeah.........and he lets touchdown passes go at the buzzer against over rated teams from the Big 10.

He is perfect! Right!

there's gonna be a dropoff, but they are still loaded with talent

Dont'a Hightower, Nico Johnson, and Dre Kirkpatrick all had some playing experience last year

That secondary will be tested by Mallett and Arky early on

Fixed it for you. When his D drops off his team does. Just like in 04 and just like this year. Buck Fama

I'm not arguing that. PeeJ seems to think there will be no drop off talent and you should expect to see the exact same results as last year.

He has alot of talent. I think we will see the same kind of results. Just NOT an unbeaten season. Its the same as saying LSU will have a better offense but not improve their record.

If bama gives up 10 points more on D, and scores 10 points more on O, what do you have?
14-0 or 12-2?

If saban can replace anybody...then why has he only had 2 top 5 finishes in his twenty something years of coaching, while miles has had 3?

Really? Are you trying to say Miles is a better coach than Saban? Really?

If that totally new defense is not 1/2 of what it was last year......LSU will beat them.

LSU should have beaten them last year. And so should Tenn, Texas, and a few others. Lucky bastards!!

And if any other team in the nation returned ONE starter on D....like Bama....they probably wouldnt be ranked at all preseason.

BUT....with Bama its ok......put them number 1. With one returner on defense.

Mark Barron and Dont'a Hightower have multiple starts, over two seasons, to their credit.

Josh Chapman, Marcell Dareus, Nico Johnson, and Courtney Upshaw also have starting experience over the previous two seasons, in addition to quality time as backups.

I hate the team, the jackass fans, and the a-hole-asshat coach but damn their running game gives me a chubby. (No homo)

I love a 200+ rushing attack to just wear a defense down.

DirtbagLSU,

...so I'm sure you do not recognize the 2007 NC because a very "lucky" LSU team had 2 losses (Bama had none in 2009) and still played for the NC, huh?
