BLM is a communist organization. The founders have come out and said they are trained marxists. But please, feel free to keep your head up your arse.

Even the folks on the fence that don’t support their stance but are still going to go can make a stand by boycotting concessions and showing their opinion.
I’m out after 30+ years as a season ticket holder. I was close before because I was tired of the direction the fan day experience was going. If I wanted blaring rap music instead of the Tiger Band, I’d go to NFL games.
This just was the straw that broke the camels back.

I think that remark pertains to the fact that the lead organizers of BLM are self-proclaimed Marxists and clearly push that agenda.

Also, the idea that universities are purporting socialism because they use the funding from one section of their athletics to support others is dumb. They aren’t taxed. They all fall under the athletic program. What a terrible take, and you ironically are calling out OP for something you don’t understand either.

Wtf do some of u not understand??? These players aren’t supporting the BLM looting and rioting, they’re simply saying, black lives matter when it comes to police brutality and social injustice and it blows my mind that some of u don’t get this or just don’t want to get it, pretty sad....

It blows my mind that you believe Blacks are faced with social injustices.

No. A football player at LSU has more value than any other athlete at LSU. They shouldn’t all be treated them same, but they are. That is socialism.

Capitalist organizations don’t prolong the life of divisions that lose money. They jettison them.

LSU and their family support white criminal as well. I don't see you b*tching about your president criminalistics activities? You are just like the rest of the white people who have blinders on, The athletes are not your entertainment, like this it the roman empire or something. As soon as an athlete protest or say something that is not to your standard, now you want to b*tch and moan. I want a refund, I am not watching football any more. Grow the f*ck up and support the athletes, who are doing more protesting than your sorry arse bitching! Either your a fan or not!

Marine, my email was very similar. While I put off this year and put my money towards next year, I told them that I had not made a decision about keeping/letting my tix go.

I linked LSU’s website linking blm. The. I copied/pasted the parts that are unacceptable to me. If the blm support by LSU continues, next year will be my last. If it fades away, I will keep my seats. Good for you, Marine.

Inb4 yes, I graduated from LSU.

The funny part of not supporting companies that chose to openly support views I very much disagree with is that I am going to have to live off the grid soon! Ha.

I have said it time and time again

The TAF is the Junior League for Men!

The amount of money they raise outside of ticket surcharges is Pennies compared to other SEC. Schools

I love football, loved LSU. Grew up bleeding purple and gold. Honestly, politics should be separate from sports, protest on your on time and dime. Athletes forget that they play with a ball and it isn’t important. They should feel blessed to get a free education and the chance to make millions. Instead they want to lecture us on their beliefs about what we should accept and not accept. No thank you and good luck making money when you run off a large portion of your market.

Yep. Your prerogative to express yourself and how you spend for money.

So many things going on and everyone has their own choice to make.

Well, it goes a little deeper.

The athletes do get a scholly and perks of the jersey, but the privilege you speak of isn’t quite how you see it. Many of these athletes were recruited by LSU and could’ve played anywhere in the country......LSU is as fortuitous as said athletes. Now, it wasn’t always the case but it is that way now for elite programs.

One thing to also consider is how many businesses and livelihoods are reliant on the success of these athletes. From vendors of licensed goods to the service industry.

Whether you like it or not, as one LSU head coach yelled at us, “this is not HS, this is a multimillion dollar enterprise that requires your success!”
