Same exact thing can be said for all the lame JJ/ Aaron Brooks comparisons.

Also not true at all.. I gave examples as to why he reminds me of Aaron Brooks.. JJ being like Chris Leak bc he winds up it terrible comparison... As i stated earlier.. Leak always threw a pretty ball and wasnt know for arm strength but pen point accuracy.. JJ well.. Is not

I think you're wanting to say he's not all-SEC caliber, or maybe not a top tier SEC QB. because in any given year, his performance from last yr will rate him as at least an average (if not above avg) SEC QB.

Chris Leak had some amazing stats and people over look that.

As a true freshman he went 6-3, including 6-1 in SEC and 3-1 against Top 15 teams. He threw for 2167 Yards and 14 touchdowns.

As a sophomore he had a 59.6% 3199 Yards 29 Touchdowns 12 INT with a 144.97 rating

As a junior 62.8% 2639 Yards 20 Touchdowns 6 int with a 136.54 rating

As a senior 63.8% 2950 Yards 23 touchdowns 13 int 145.12 rating

Agreed! He even said that he thought that he did well in the spring game. I just don't get it. Truly open it up and let the best man win.

Physically he's far superior to Leak but so was Aaron Brooks. He's more physically gifted than any QB except Terrell Pryor.

I don't. I've always said if he'd played for Spurrier, or just in a passing system all 4 years, he'd have been a Heisman candidate. kid was a gifted passer.

a lot of ppl remember the loss against UF for the way we missed Hunt, but I really remember how impressive Leak was. we sacked him about 5 times, and must have hit him about 10 others, but he got up every time and kept throwing some of the prettiest passes I'd seen against us. there was one bomb he dropped on Travis Daniels and I don't think TD could've covered the guy any better.

Oh...my bad. I thought you said "physically gifted". Didn't realize you said "tall". So that means JJ is more physically gifted than Drew Brees...like 5 inches more physically gifted. WOW!

In 2004 (his sophomore season) Chris Leak had a 59.6% completion percentage. In 2009 JJ had a 61.5% completion percentage last year.

Who was more accurate as a sophomore???

This is just stupid to think.

JJ was not a good QB LAST YEAR. The game was just to fast for him. Hopefully he has a better understanding and feels comfortable in the game this year. He is pretty sound physically, except his long arse delivery, and if he understands to just throw the ball to spots, the long delivery will not be so detrimental.

I will give 100% support to who ever starts, because he will be our best option.
