I think a lot of the fans got the message that the offense was not going to do anything by the mid third quarter, and came to slowly realize that barring a miracle we were not going to win.
Before that it was LOUD. I could barely hear the flyover or the band.
I can promise you (Les speak) if we would have been ahead or playing more competitively on offense, that place would have been rockin til the clock read all zeroes. Especially if we were ahead.

welcome to the South Endzone...as soon as I graduated from LSU-BR I got started sitting in my GFs parent's seats. Her parents no longer attend the games. We have four seats in section 423. I sat in those seats for every home game in '06 and '07...I have never been yelled at more in my life than I was by the people (can't call them fans) in that section. I couldn't even fart without someone bitching at me. During the Troy game in '08, my girlfriend and I were 2 of 10 people left in section 423 by the end of the third quarter...the rest of the people had left while booing JL all the way out of the stadium...I looked over to see the student section still nearly full.
After we made the comeback, I looked over at my girlfriend and said, "Those students look like they had a blast."
Now that I am back in school, I have done everything I can to get my hands on two LSUHSC student tickets for the games. I have sat in the student section for every home game this year and have had a blast.
All this to say...THE PEOPLE IN THE SOUTH ENDZONE SUCK...except for a family of 6 i know that have been sitting in the same seats in section 417 for nearly 25 years...I belong in the student section!

prolly because it sucked....two hawaiin puddle jumpers would have made more noise than the two f-18s that flew over...not to mention their timing was waaayyy off.

Hoss...I have some bad news for you. All 93k plus could have stood and screamed at every play, during every timeout, while taking a leak in the bathrooms or getting a hot dog, would not have mattered, LSU would have still lost.
You attend one LSU home game every year since '02 and have the freaking audacity to come in this forum and call fans out?
How have you helped the university and the athletes that LSU puts on the field? Do you contibute money to the university or athletic departments by donations or ticket/parking permit purchases? Let me answer this question for you -- NO.
So, you drag your drunkin self to one game a year and probably make a complete fool of yourself by screaming at people sitting around you, who probably could answer YES to the question above and you call yourself a fan?
I am out of here..freaking unbelievable

when you purchase all the seats behind you, you are allowed to stand the whole game, otherwise, sit you butt down and stand for the national anthem, or go and watch the TEXAS AGGIE, they don't know what seats are for either
Why would you want to sit in the South endzone??? The bleachers are horrible...it's like they were constructed by a Chinese architect. When you sit down, the bleacher curves up from back to front as if to support ur legs??? The highest part of the bleacher should be towards the back so you can lean back on it...My back has never hurt worse than after having to sit through a whole football game in section 423...Not to mention the fact that I had two of the biggest people in Tiger Stadim sitting in front of me for every game...UNCOMFORTABLE. My girlfriend and I even brought "bleacher cushion seats" to the VaTech game in '07, but they jabbed the two cows sitting in front of us in the back the whole game, so we didn't bring them to the rest of the games...

It is a well-known scientific fact that standing up, blocking other people's view, and generally acting like an assclown helps the defense play better. Not to mention wearing a certain color shirt.

I'm in 413 and their is one nut in our section who fusses at everyone else in the section any time the enjoy the game - it sucks arse -if you yell too colorfully, she tells you watch your mouth -if you stand she says down in front - if you participate in the wave she tells you to sit down and watch the game - if she sees you drinkin she reports it to the cops - she is the section nazi - and she ruins the fun for everyone.
Last time we played Tulane at home, she told everyone not to boo or tiger bait them because they were from our state. When we play out of state teams she says they our tourists here and we should welcome them. She is nuts.

I graduated in '02 as well. You quickly forget the rest of the stadium is nothing like the student section and its hard adjusting back into "normal fan" mode. I sit in Sec 305 though and have lots of younger fans around me. We stand the whole time, so nobody complains.

You r so correct about the bleachers. They are the most uncomfortable seats I have ever sat in.
this year i purchased the chairs backs that was offered. Now my seat is comfortable, and i can not get pushed out of my seat, because they sure tried for the flordia game.

I sit in the upper south and I didn't give a good crap who sat in back of me because I stood and yelled for the entire game and if they didn't like it.....guess what....TOUGH. I remember the 97 Florida game we did the same thing and everyone around us stood the entire game....sadly enough...NOT ANYMORE

I agree, I have been sitting in Section 103 (Old Section K) my whole life, and I enjoy being able to sit and watch the game with like minded fans. If its a third down or a big play, sure we will stand up if the person in front of us is already standing. But we all try to stay down when possible and actually watch the game instead of acting like a bunch of 4 year olds. You can always tell when someone in our section lets someone else have their tickets or sells them on Ebay, because there is always a few new people each game trying to "get the crowd up" and everyone else just looks at them like they're idiots.
If you want to scream the whole game and do all the band/cheerleader chants, then go sit in the student section. People that have been going to games for 20+ years don't need you doing the "neck" hand motion in their grill all night.

I was at this game as well...was only 15. We were somewhere under the scoreboard in the south endzone...I think it was section 416...anyway, my dad and I and my four friends jumped up and down cheering our asses off. Everyone else around us was doing the same thing...Sad what the people in TS have come to...

WOW!!! Sign me up for that section! Sounds like a blast! I would probably rather watch my toenails grow than be subjected to that type of fun

Why don't you just stay home in the comfort of your lay-z-boy?!?!?! You are probably there before the end of the game anyway...I am certain you are one who leaves the games early to "beat" the traffic instead of sticking around to see what kind of talent we have coming up.

Well, this is understandable. Not too sure about the rest though.

I go to the game and enjoy myself just fine hoss. Just because I enjoy it differently than you do, doesn't mean I'm any less of a fan. But it is ignorant people like you that make the game less enjoyable for other people. I dont bother anyone by sitting in my seat and cheering for big plays, but if you stand up and block people behind you (who paid the same as you did for the ticket) then you are interfering with their experience and being a selfish arse to boot. Most people learned how to be considerate of others in 2nd grade.
Don't challenge my "fanhood" because I don't stand up and yell for 3 hours. And you're damn right I left early for the FLA game. We have 4th and 1 and we put our young QB in the shotgun behind a piss poor offensive line, and we get sacked. As soon as I saw that, I was out. It was embarrasing that all the money we pay Miles and Co., that is the best we could come up with.
But I will be back next week pulling for the Tigers like I have for 20 years, sorry if my definition of being a fan is different than yours.

She yelled at a 6 and 8 year old for doing the wave during the 3rd quarter of the UL game??? Someone told her, "nobody tells you how to cheer" I was so happy someone finally told her something.

I was in Section 405 Row 23 and most people were standing up.

you just settled it...if you leave a close game early, u r not a true fan...you should know with your highty hoe 20 years of college football experience that anything can happen in the last minutes...its NCAA FOOTBALL...u never know

Slinger, if every Tiger fan was like you Tiger STadium would be very quite. Tiger Stadium is and always was LOUD, I am proud of that. Glad I don't sit by you.
