Agree that it wasn’t blatant but his left (lead) foot never comes close to touching the bag. That combined with the late slide means he was intentionally trying to disrupt the play.

Call should’ve stood. Ball doesn’t lie.

Ive watched every replay they have, there is no good view of it from behind first base. Also, the ump making the call isnt in a good spot to see where the runner is as far as the path goes either. Its close, he is slightly inside the bag, but it isnt crazy obvious

Half of his legs are clearly inside the base paths...and he takes out the SS.

It's the definition of obstruction.

This isn't the baseball we all grew up playing. But, this is as clear as day against the rules.

i posted a big message on twitter/x after the league office overring the on field umps… when they went to make the call, which had to be made, major play result and controversy, i KNEW ahead of time they WERE GOING TO OVERRULE… THE ACC'S HISTORY ON SOMETHING LIKE THIS IS always THE SAME, THE EXACT SAME: PROTECT THE ACC TEAMS, NO MATTER HOW WRONG IT IS!!!!!!!!… since the days of michael jordan… jordan TACKLED john tutor on a breakaway… no call at ALL against jordan… and they did call something against tutor, don't remember, and rhe no-call against jordan is still mind-boggling!!!!… so it is extra-great that Murray was able to overcome this bullshite… and they did show about a dozen replays, different angles, and the runner was pointed DIRECTLY at the 2nd baseman… runner knew he was out even before starting his slide, and aimed at 2nd baseman, and DID TAKE HIM OUT!!!!! on-field ump at 2nd base area made the entirely right call!!!… seems to be a pretty good ump, maybe sec should hire him!!… took great gumption to make that call knowing you were goung to be overrode… acc officiating SUCKS OUT LOUD!!!!!… .

I doubt the umps were an ACC crew. You sure about that?

Two teams from Kentucky going to Omaha and neither are called the Wildcats.

Now, that is delightful.

Arkansas vs LSU is by far the toughest matchup to start the CWS. Whoever wins will more than likely be 2-0 waiting for the other to catch up for the rematch/rematches.
