You're the one who thinks Lee is a better decision maker..

Jefferson is superior to Lee in every aspect of the game except the deep ball. Don't get me wrong -- regardless of which QB is the starter this season.. I think we'll see a similar result.

But who has the higher ceiling? If all else is equal then potential should be the tie-breaker, right?

3 picks, including the first play of the game is a pick 6....great way to start

Im pretty sure Lee can pass for 200 yards in a game.Jefferson has yet to this year.

At least you'd be right about something. Besides.. most realistic fans expected 3 losses. But the difference between this season and last.. is that our QB won't be the one putting the defense in bad situations.

So total yards is your measuring stick? Do us a favor and outline what you think the most important stats are for a QB.

I haven't said Lee didn't get better. We have several other problems besides our QB. Mostly our OL and our running game. J Lee had a great running game last year and still couldn't get shite done. But did Lee not have a shot at starting this fall? Jefferson is the better game manager right now. Maybe from a pure passing standpoint he's better, but there is soooo much more to being a QB than throwing the ball. That's what you people don't understand.

Sure, Lee can get better. And I hope he does. Because if JJ keeps running into linebackers, Lee will be in sooner than I'd like to see. IF Lee comes in, I hope he lights it up.

Since he won't give you a decent answer because he clearly knows nothing about QB's, I'll give you the answer....

The most important aspect for a QB with as much talent around him as we have, is to a) not turn the ball over and b) let your playmakers make plays.

You just responded to yourself.

Look, I've been very underwhelmed so far this year. Our O-line has been surprisingly bad. We don't hand the ball off to the guy who is averaging 7.2 yards a carry. As good as Tolliver has looked, he's also dropped some easy, easy balls. We have no fullback besides our All-SEC tailback. And we have certainly struggled with the vertical passing game.

All that said, to sit here and act like our QB protecting the ball is a bad thing is astonishing - especially after last year. I've seen Jefferson throw the ball away probably ten times this season. That is exactly ten more times than last year.

Anyone who thinks we run through the SEC unscathed is a moron. But Jefferson, far and away, gives us our best chance of winning (especially) if the defense plays well, because he protects the ball.

Completely agree. Lee has the potential to be a great QB. But Jefferson has even more potential.

I wish JJ could hit the broad side of a barn. He'd be a great QB if he could. I wonder if it's too late to teach him accuracy?

I'll take a QB who can spread the ball around, not turn the ball over, and make plays with his feet 100 times over. The deep ball will come. Jefferson opens so many doors for this offense. He's hitting 64.4% of his passes.. and quite a few of his misses are low-percentage vertical passes.

540 yds of offense against UGA, and Lee threw for 3 TDs and 290 yds. He played a great game. He is not the only one who has to tackle LOL. There are 10 other guys that coulda stopped them from getting in the endzone.

Face it, if the defense gets one, single stop when it counts, we win that game. They gave up 38 points!

Robbob ,MSU , bt and specs1 will never be happy
with jj.

If we beat Moo-state and GA they will still not except JJ.

What if we beat them and FLA. will you still be critical of JJ?

Reminds me of a particular Auburn game with Jamie Howard. Of course, play calling had alot to do with that but the INTs were thrown by Howard.
