I think Tiger fans in general have a right to be frustrated with this team's performance. LSU is an A+ program playing C+ football and offensively, getting worse each week.
Conversely, a team like FSU is a C+ program playing D- football. Fans and followers have a legit gripe with that program as a whole.
Obviously, the frustration is rooted in the fact that this team's offense is loaded with blue chippers and future NFL players and they can't move the ball - which lands them in the absolute bottom 10% of performers in college football. So how is that possible?
The explanation for this anomaly is simple: based off formation and personnel; opposing defenses already know 1. who's getting the ball 2. where he is going. It's like playing POKER with your cards exposed. It doesn't even give our guys the chance to play - LITERALLY.
I guarantee you take the predictability out of this offense and the O-Line, RB's, and QB will look like world beaters. And the gripes will disappear.

We are in the Top 10, respected around the country, will beat Auburn and Tulane and go into T-Town 7-1

I may have my head up my arse, but dammit it's not in the sand. You don't have to be some kind of football genius to see this team is having problems. But Jesus Christ...this coaching staff has shown they know how to win...not to mention they've won a NC. They are handicapped by a young QB who hasn't found his way. Give them time to develop him. The season is at the halfway point and their only loss is to the #1 team who won the NC last yr. I understand that they could easily lose 2-3 more games this year, but look around the country and tell me what program wins 10 or 11 games EVERY year...that list is pretty damn short. The list is even shorter for programs that have won 2 NC's this decade.

Or do you think that has nothing to do with your point about the D?
just because i dont have rainbows flying out of my arse that doesnt make me a bad fan, im not going to pretend everything is great when it obviously isnt. Is there anything in my previous post that doesnt have some validity to it?

Yes they have. That's why I like Les Miles.
As I pointed out a few posts ago, the problem is the predictability of this offense. PERIOD.
Anyone ever play Tecmo Bowl on the Nintendo in the 90s? I believe it was the first, advanced football game. You could run 4 plays on offense. If the defense picked your play, they would blow it up 100% of the time for a loss. : )
That is exactly what is happening to LSU's offense.

I believe that expecting more out of our offense is being labeled as being a half-assed fan. As a fan I want to see us win. With our current offense, against our remaining schedule, that is not looking too good for us.
Don't say I'm not a fan because I want us to win. Dare I say, that makes me a bigger fan than you.

I would say most people who post on the rant have never never never taken classes at LSU! Last night's thread about Les Miles press conference was the absolute nadir for this forum.
As I read the thread I felt nothing but deep despair!

This is EXACTLY correct. Remember the Washington game? Our defense was on the field most of the second half and gave up yards but didn't yield many points.
The best friend of a defense is first downs by their offense followed by the next best friend, scoring. It changes field position and it gives your D rest - and it inspires your guys to play harder.

ABC owns ESPN and Herbie and Brent have featured games of the week at 7PM CDT, and occaisionally CBS will produce a 7PM CDT feature game like last week with Florida. With the new contract, this may be the case, but the LSU VA Tech game two years ago was on ABC prime time.

You are completely correct in expecting more out of this offense. They have the playmakers and skill to have a top 5 offense.

While I don't know much about the OP, others such as Tomm and geauxtigers3 make it exactly like that. I bring up valid concerns about the offense, and they say I'm a tard or not a fan.
I think you'd be hard pressed to find someone who enjoyed watching our offense on Saturday. Conversely, I was thrilled with the way the defense is coming together and really enjoyed watching them play.
I'm not resigned to the 8-5 season, but I'm worried that if the offense doesn't play (or really have the right plays called), we could be in deep trouble with the meat of our SEC West schedule looming.

to the person who questions that we are respected around the country --- we are ranked 10 based on playing Florida hard -OM went from 4 to 18 --- and most all of the press has been favorable with the recognition that our offense is struggling bad and needs to improve. We pay Crowton a 1/2 mill a year to make it right, and I hope he and Les develops this side of hte ball. When they do, we can compete with anybody -- including Bama.

I don't expect a championship this year. You're not getting what I'm saying. Do you agree that the offense should be able to do better than 3 points at home? Are you not worried that we may lose 3 to 4 SEC West games if the offense doesn't turn it around? I am, and that doesn't make me a half-arse fan.
I just want us to get to 9-3, with the team we have, that is totally doable. With the way the offense is playing, I'm worried we may not get there.
