It amazes me people don't double check names before they open their mouths on national radio

Not LSU related, but they were interniewing Mike Napoli today and Gotleib asked which World Series loss hurt worse, this year or last year.

Napoli didnt play for the Rangers last year, dickface

Robert Smith also gave the edge to Alabama's d-line, saying ours was athletic but small and Alabama's o-line would handle the Tiger d-line (had a graphic up showing that Bama's average o-line weight was about 50 lbs> LSU dline)

Yea, and the highlights of their D-line dominating were from Vandy. FML

The fat one just said that LSU is great against the speed and spread offense but wont be able to match up against the power running or TR.

This is actually true.

We had trouble all year stopping the run between tackles.

Weak LB play, LSU can't let Lacy and Richardson get to the 2nd lvl.

Funny thing is ....some guy the other day on ESPN I can't remember which dolt...said they believed that Alabama would win the game because....get this....LSU doesn't protect the football!!!

Im confused...wasnt the spread our biggest problem for a while and we stuffed the power running game??
Oh, after he ate a donut he said the game would be close in the first half but Bama pulls away in the second half. Comfortably.

its true our defense is built to stop the spread... but hes an idiot if he thinks we cant stop a power running game becuz of this... if he's gonna say that then we can say theres no way bama's power run D can match-up with LSU when jordan jefferson comes in to the game and goes to a spread offense

OK. Name the starting RBs that are considered as being real power backs??

The one that comes to mind would be Ballard at State and we held him to 63 yards...give or take a few yards.

Poole at TN had a decent game against us but I'm not sure if you consider him a power back or if LSU was really gameplanning for him.

Who else? To my knowledge everyone else was a speedster

My point is that we have handled every back that we have faced...not our fault that we have not faced a Spencer Ware(other than at practice). I just dont see the basis of their evaluation.

I am excited for our D-Line to show off that not only are they fast and agile but also strong and powerful. I and taking TR under 100 yards rushing. Miss Lacey too.

I'm pretty sure LSU has one of the best D-lines in the country. And small does not equal weak. Robert Smith, maybe you should read up on Tommy Moffitt's plyometric workout system.

Look for Les & the Chief to go big on the D-Line.

We need a moratorium on threads regarding the learned and estimable Mr. Robert Smith.

It's obvious he uses more of his brain and thinks at a higher level than anyone else. We just cannot hope to understand his reasoning.

this.... thats the thing with LSU, very deep and can go big when they need to or small and fast when they need to

to be fair the WRs as full units are not the strong suit of either team, but Randle is clearly the best one on either team.

That's definitely a good point.

I could see Robert Smith having a good long cry in the green room at ESPN at about 10:30 pm Saturday night because all his hopes and dreams for the week will have been dashed to pieces.
