He has potential to be the next Derrick Thomas IMO. Pure speed pass rusher. The only person with comparible talent in the NFL is possibly Suggs. Keke will terrorize QB's in the NFL for many years.

This must be his best five players going in the draft list. There's no way he can predict who will go 1-5 without knowing the teams selecting in those position and their needs.

yeah this is like a big board

best available in his opinion

like barkley could be the best player in the draft but doesnt mean hes going to go one because what if a team that has a QB is drafting first etc

I've been saying he has top-5 potential since early last year. I'm glad Mel is giving him the attention and spot light he deserves.

I disagree with Logan Thomas at 2.

Don't worry he will be number 1 by the end of next year. He is unbelieveable

Basically all Kiper said about him was that he looks good in a uniform. Yeah, don't worry about his onfield play. #2 it is!!!

I wish LSU could run a 3-4 this year. Could you imagine the front 7 of mingo, jones, minter, Montgomery, ego, freak, and logan to go with our db's?

Just plain dirty!

It makes so much more sense being a Blazing Saddles quote and Mingo is a blazing DE.

He's still a tweener at 245lbs. He didn't do shite in the NC against an Oline that was NFL caliber. Speed is awsome but he's got to get more power. Right now he's like Renaldo Turnbull was in the 90's, looked great in college but never shined in NFL as a DE.

Wow i didn't think he'd be predicted to go that high, he gone

His combine and pro day are going to be awesome. Unlike Poe (from Memphis) Mingo will actually have great film against good competition to go with it.

Kiper is ahead of the curve with Thomas. He's a stud talent. People are giving him hell because he was inconsistent as a redshirt Freshman. Iirc Barkley wasn't exactly a star as a Freshman or sophomore. Last year was by far his best year and the 1st year he was actually living up to the hype. Thomas has more physical tools than Barkley by a wide margin. Kiper is not that far fetched with Thomas #2. Has his play indicated that he'd be #2? No but his tools do and that is what Kiper is projecting.

I'll take Sam over Mingo as of now. Sam is much stronger and much better straight up against the run than Mingo. Mingo is a better natural talent but he still has a lot of room to improve going straight up against the run. He chases well but struggles when he gets run straight at.

he's playing out of position with his hand in the ground. Still managed 8 sacks as a sophmore.

and renaldo turnbull was a solid pro. And made a pro bowl.

Mingo will go early and will be one of the highest paid LSU players before its all done. Speed rushers make BIG $$$$$ in the NFL--good for him

But he wasn't worth a 1st round pick.
