So, Phyllis on Finebaum gets drunk and calls and says all kind of wild shite. Herbstriet hears it and repeats it, saying it came from a mythical source. Every ESPN talking head then repeats it.
Every other media outlet, in order not to be scooped, runs with it too. It has now become one of the many "facts" surrounding this whole debacle.

I agree with your post. The damage is done now. If LSU didn't have a plan B,C,D, etc. in place, then we deserve to lose every recruit. To make this kind of noise without having several feelers out is suicide. Miles has been good for the program, but usually 10 years at a school is the time to look for a change.
