The overt problem with this explanation is that we weren't "ripping off runs going up and down the field" against teams with above average defenses, such as Alabama and Arkansas. Yet, even when that didn't work, we obstinately stuck with it.
Arkansa, I'll give you. Based on your comments, it seems like you didn't eve watch the Bama game.

So you run it to run it even when you can't run it instead?
WE ran the ball against most everyone. Not against Arky, but that is it.

The only logical explanation regarding the quarterbacks is, "They aren't who we thought they were."

We could possibly run it, and we can run it without taking sacks, or throwing inteceptions. So even if it fails, it is a better choice.

If he answers the questions like that all the time, people would like him a lot more.
During the season, his answer would be "I like our QB and our passing game is coming".

I can't believe that Miles is all feisty about a reporter actually asking a legit question.
I suspect there is more to it than this single question. Cauble has a history of asking the most ignorant questions.
Cauble asked how he felt about the new hires bringing life to the program. What an asinine question. There was no life in the program? Thats an insult to everyone involved with LSU including the fans. 8-5 is not great by any means, but to insinuate the program has no life in them is ridiculous.
When he asked Miles that, Miles asked for something to throw at him. Guess Miles is tired of dealing with dumbasses that have no right being in the room.
Cauble needs to cover cooking shows. Thats about his level.

People have such selective memories.

Actually thought it was a pretty good question. The program is on a downward spiral and it needs new life.

A little dramatic, no?

Ok then.
But that is definitely dramatic.

i consider it factual and not at all dramatic.
13-1, 8-0
10-3, 6-2
10-3, 5-3
8-5, 4-4
4 straight years of regression. cover your eyes and pretend all is well if you want. I choose to deal with facts.

Another important issue inside the redzone is not getting TDs as a team. Harris has shown to be outstanding at this while Jennings at qb does not possess enough of a threat running or passing.
I still can't believe Harris in such limited time accounted for 9 total TDs while Jennings only account for 11 all season including the bowl game.

Why don't you hit the little tabs on top of this page and read the threads from about 48 hours ago, before the hires were announced. EVERYONE agreed that these hires were very important because LSU's SEC record has gotten worse 3 straight years. I don't think Cauble insinuated that the program had "no life". But to say the program had gotten "stale" would be pretty accurate.

3 straight years of 10 or more wins is not regression and certainly not a downward spiral

Am I the only one confused by this? If we were a 48% passing team, would the percentage of incompletions be 52%

We’ll see who comes out of spring, then we’ll go into fall ball and there will be competition that will tell it,
This was said last year along with "it will take two qbs to be competitive, but I will take him for his word this time and hope that the better qb is named the starter. Not the qb with the most "experience," because that didn't work out so well last season.
