WHAT DO YOU EXPECT HIM TO SAY????? He is not going to talk bad publicly about anyone on his team. Look at the RP situation, he never once talked bad about RP. He is never downgrading his players, but he always put a positive spin on things. This is called optimism and is a pivotal thing in order to maintain success. I think this is why most rantards bitch about Miles so much. He is an optimist and most of you are extreme pessimist

Very well said!

While I agree he isn't naming the players, saying our youth is playing a huge role in this is wrong. Most of the mistakes were by the veterans outside of the long pass against Hawkins. This is the issue. I have no issues with how he discussed player issues, but he is flat out wrong trying to say that is the biggest problem.

Reality is that this scheme is heavily flawed, and teams have figured it out. Thank Spurrier for that among others. It's similar to the McCray issues. People saw his weakness and now pick on him consistently, and the coaches do nothing to correct it.

But, again, keep making an arse of yourself on an internet message board acting as if you are owed some explanation. By all means, whatever you do, don't let the season play out and make a judgement at the end of the year.

Dude. If it bothers you, don't read the posts. No one is planting your freaking head on the screen and forcing you to read. It's my opinion, I feel strongly about it.

Don't need to wait til the end of the year cat daddy. LSU football is my hobby. I spend a helluva lot of money on travel and hotel, rentals to support. I am alarmed as hell at the direction this team is going.

so you are saying YOU, Internet expert Bob, know the scheme and assignment responsibilities based on defensive checks and adjustments according to the offensive alignment better than the coach?

OK, duly noted.

Oh sweet Jesus, billy six pack spends a couple thousand on plane tickets and 49.95for a room at the Cum'N'Stay hotel and he's ready to demand explanations and proclaim the program dead a year after a national championship.

The great unwashed and their incredible debating skills. You can always tell. We have to have those to look down upon, I s'pose.

I agree with 50% of your post ,My disagreement is with the heart, intensity and pride the players showed Saturday, with three possible NFL draft choices on our offensive line and all the returning starters and depth on our defensive line. Where were the team captains, seniors on the team that needed to take charge. When things got tough Saturday our lines folded. I saw several players stop rushing T-bow on several plays. Even Georgia, when they got down to Bama 31-0, came out the second half and made it respectable. My concern is not whether we can correct the schemes, my concern is the lack of heart some players showed Saturday.Lets hope it changes for USC.

Miles has made numerous questionable decisions while at LSU, including many last year. Any coach will, as no coach is perfect. He has yet to ever own up to one, and it took us getting very lucky last year to not have those decisions cost us an MNC.

In the long run, Miles is a very good coach, and possibly a great coach, but he's an offensive coach and does very little with the defense, and it shows.

I don't need to know every intricate detail of the scheme to know that this is a recurring problem. The scheme has been figured out and is being fully exploited and the coaches refuse to admit that. Sometimes, a scheme will work until people figure it out, and then you move on.

If players are missing assignments in a specific game, its one thing. When its happened for nearly 13 straight games, it's the system or coaches.

Regarding another person's post on players showing heart. I totally agree. It seemed that after UF scored that first TD in the second half and we didn't respond and went 3 and out, both sides of the ball just gave up. That is what hurt as a fan to see.

He's lost 7 games in 3 years. Jesus H. Christ people, no wonder it takes an arm and a leg to good coaches to come to B.R. He gets beat by UF (which 80% of people said would happen preseason) and you throw him under the bus. It had nothing to do with the PLAYERS huh?

I suppose you would like him to come out say "Its all my fault, i suck, the defense sucks, the teams sucks, the mascot sucks, and we may not win another game." How the hell did any of you make it through the nineties without jumping in front of train.

The majority of fans said 9-3 preseason. Only idiots EXPECTED any more than that. He said he would fix the problem and we have no reason not to believe him.

Coach Miles is doing everyting the correct way. No way in hell should he come out and say what you all want him to say..sorry, but we're all not apart of this team. Certain things should be discussed only in the locker room, and not on your local news stations. Coach Miles, IMO, is one the greatest coaches in the nation. I trust in him and I trust he is doing everything in his power to ensure LSU is one of the top notch programs in the nation.

Hmmm at least 11 wins 3 straight years. Anybody else claim that???? It's just 1 game. Last year's ACC champs lost by 41 and it didn't ruin their season..and that LSU arse whipping of them was more lopsided than this Florida loss.

Another goofy stupid thread from a clueless ranter pretending to know more about defensive schemes than the professions who helped produce a National Championship--Amazing!

We WON the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!

Falling apart?????????? Give me a break. We had a bad day. It happens to the BEST of teams. I guess you think our entire last season was based on "luck", too.

I completely agree with you. The RP situation was handled exactly this way, the right way. As fans of the college, we sometimes feel that we have a right to know this and a right to know that. The thing is, if you have ever been part of a college team, college sports are different. Appearance is everything. Coaches are not going to down grade their program to please fans. And face it, if you donate enough money, you will have more inside information. The rest of us will get a bone thrown to us every now and then. Until that, relax and enjoy this season.
