This thread is exhausting.

Everyone agrees it is Coach Miles' decision who should start and everyone trusts his judgment. Some of us believe the QB competition is wide open, some of us think it really is not that wide open and Miles is using coach-speak.

Is that the crux of it?

I really have a hard time finding the rational in someone implying that a red shirt fresh QB can't improve.

No logical person would think that much less say it... once again that's what you hope for, wether you'll admit it or not.
its fuking obvious.

I understand that JL can improve, but Lee Lovers fail to relize that Jefferson is also going to improve. The difference is, is that I dont think the Jarett Lee is going to be able to improve enough to over take Jefferson. And then Russell SHepard is in the mix and could come in and take the starting job for himself. We dont know and probably wont until September 5

That's pretty much my view on it too. But who knows.

cause all im saying is that in my opion Lee isnt going to win the starting job and keep getting told, "oh you dumb-butt, the competition is open." I know that im just voicing an opion that keeps getting flamed because i havent seen the kid play in spring practice according to La007

because mr. LA007 asked me where I was getting my information that people were so confident in Jarrett Lee starting. So I took the liberty to go find some example for him! Didnt quite get that, did ya?

says my opion to pull for a player I am a fan of is totaly bogus

no i didn't

what i said was you can be fan of a kid...you can be fan of numerous kids, BUT rooting for one to start over 2 more with experience when he hasn't even taking snap in spring is just rooting for your own preferences...not for the best qb

how can you want someone to start that you know NOTHING about on the college level?

It happens... but it does really confuse the thread. I've done it, too, and I accept all apologies on the board.. they're rare.

Im pulling for the kid to start because I want to see him wow all of college football. I want the kid to prove to everyone he has what it takes at QB and winning the job and then playing well at it would do just that. I think hes shows he is easily the most talented QB on the team, but not nessicarily the most expirenced because he has never played at the colligate level. I mean using a rational train of thought based on expirence + talent JJ will start, Shepard will see some time and be used in funky ways to confuse people, and JL will be the back up.

if you choose to believe RS is god that's fine with me... ive said before there is nothin wrong with having a favorite player... however you set yourself up for disapointment with these expectations you put on players that have yet to take the first snap.
FWIW and IMO RS is under sized. ... her a hellava talent.. but it would not suprise me to see him excel somewhere besides QB during his time here

I guess you could consider him the best passer, but Jefferson definately has a stronger arm.

And I understand my expectations of RS are high, yea if he doesnt do as well as I think he gonna do ill be bumbed, but ill get over it.

I have not seen anything that leads me to believe JJ has stronger arm than JL... so once again another one of your opinions that you mistake as fact
