Mr. Hatcher,

Your son has started as a LB for 7 games, he has 7 solo tackles, 7 assists. That is 2 tackles per game on average. Most LBs are more productive.

Can you talk to him?

Thanks

Does anyone recall Tahj making any plays?

Tahj Jones quietly played really well against UT from what I saw. I was encouraged by his play against the run. Only thing is he's only 205 lbs. Also, where's Lamin??? Is he nicked up or something? LSU needs more LB's with a mean streak and he has that.

Yea but seriously, Hatcher is pretty terrible.

I saw Hatcher/Francois/Jones at LB when Tenn scored from the 2. If that is our goal-line set we are going to have tough time stopping TR.

I'd like to see Barrow/Minter/Baker, Minter rotate at OLB, play a true 4-3 against Alabama and let Reid/Taylor come down and man up on the outside..make bama beat us throwing on the best corners they've seen all year

Jones has filled out nicely.

Srsly?

Everytime I see him out there, I ask myself why we have 6 DBs on the field at once.

He was already tall and athletic, but he's put on lots of muscle as expected, and he looks the part.

I'll just respectfully disagree. I can't see Trent Richardson hitting him head on and Jones not exploding on contact.

I'm rooting for Jones. Just seems to me that he needs to put on some beef. That being said, I don't know WTF I'm talking about.

other than Baker, if you watched a season worth of LSU football, you would never know who LSU's other two starting LB's are. Hatcher and Francois disappear on the field like some magic spell has been cast making them disappear from the TV screen. With them on the field, it's like we are defending 11 offensive players with 9 defensive players.

he hasn't. I'm not sure what this guy is looking at. Tahj has been listed at 205 every yr, and I'm not sure I believe he weighs even that much. I've looked at him a few times next to Reid or Loston, who are only supposed to be a couple pounds bigger, and they just look thicker. I like his spunk, but at times I'm surprised he's not at safety.
