Did Miles coach Mett to have uncharacteristic 3 pick first half?
Yes IMO. Hill fumbled and he yanked him..Never understood that, but anyway that seemed to make Mett force things.. But I say its on Miles cause he let the team think they were gonna go in there and walk all over Ole Miss with all their injuries... The team was def not ready to play that day.

Is Chizik an outlier to your "rule"?
That year he coached at an elite level, yes. Has Les had a season like Chizik in 2012?

Who would you like to have replaced Mett that day?

The rest of the team played pretty well and almost overcame those three picks. I just don't agree with you about that game.

So Larry Coker is also ELITE.

He was his first two years at Miami. Not so much success after that.

Impossible to do since they haven't all been in the SEC 7 years. Please god let it finally sink in.
I let that idea sink in and realized it was a stupid idea because it conflated coaches with teams so that Miles' relative performance to other coaches would be covered up.
I exposed the stupid supposition by ignoring the conflation and by comparing apples to apples...coaches to coaches.
You're welcome.

Spin away. Spin away. You'll have a valid point if after 7 years, all those coaches have maintained the level of success they've had. Until then, you aren't comparing apples to apples no matter how many times you keep posting it.

"Flash in a pan"
Like Miles' championship at LSU I guess
Stepped in it there didn't you?

So les hasn't maintained the level of success, but that makes him elite?

Spot-on.

We won 10 games the past two years. One year of losing 4-5 game doesn't undo everything he has done.

Chizik trended down and got fired, rightly so. It's not so hard to see why some might feel that Miles is possibly on a similar path (albeit not as prompt a plummet).

WHAT??? Miles yanked Hill.... Bad move IMO......

Almost........ Plus how about how the o-line basically just quit on Mett in the Bama game... On Miles again... Look I like Miles and just wish he would see the light and make the proper changes........

And what did we win, besides those 10 games? Nothing meaningful.

I just don't see how that's on Miles. What did he do to cause them to do that?

We pay for championships, not moral victories and finishing third or 5th.

Well, then 119 teams aren't getting their money's worth each year.
