OK, and I see this as an absolutely plausible scenario.

You see it as a plausible senario bc that's what you want to hear. If his family said they wanted him to go to Nichols or wherever bc that is whats best for him, ppl wouldn't stand for it.

Like a said before. If you agree or speculate with the masses on the rant it's ok, but if you go against the grain youre a fricking crazy.

Quote faction. Stfu. You can see exactly who I was responding to at the top of my post. It just got bumped way to fast.

And god dammit, it's not even called D1 but you can't even grasp that.

Pure speculation of course, but If you had to put a percentage on it, what % chance would you give TM putting on an LSU uniform in the 2013 season?

Red, you too...

I'd go 25% ... odds stacked against it (he could transfer, he could sit and go pro, he could get in trouble again, LSU could still say no, etc.)

Not true at all. Plausible meaning possible. Are you saying it's impossible that this would happen? That he would sit out the fall and go back to LSU (school) in the spring?

Sure I'd like to see him back as a Tiger, but certainly, first and foremost, he needs to get his life together.

It doesn't matter what they said. It's a senario thats played out on the rant everyday. I'm not talking about facts of who said what. Do you understand

I agree with you that there's that aspect of the rant, but everyone here in this topic seems to just be discussing...trying to dissiminate info.

No I don't think it's impossible. But I think it's just as possible that he transfer now. Unless LSU can give him reasonable proof that he can play in '13 if he does whatever they say then he can't possibly stay. I know everyone is harping on what his guardians said but tm7 is an adult. He's immature but still an adult.

How can he stay if he's not given some kind of guarantee?

That's the gamble he has to take. That LSU will be there for him in the end. It's a life test for Tyrann.

eta: I don't think any of us grasp what's really going on here. His family had to sit him down and repeatedly tell him he isn't "TM7" or "The Honey Badger". That he's little Tyrann Mathieu that nobody wanted out of high school and that he needed to ditch the hanger-ons from his past that were dragging him down. Now it's up to Tyrann to show everyone he finally gets it.

Are you serious. Is that a gamble you would be willing to take with your life? He's not changing his career path to motivational speaker, he hasn't done anything to warrant that. He's turned his life around from Heisman trophy finalist to motivational speaker. Who wants to hear that story, millions of ppl get clean ever year? I'm not being a dick, there's nothing special about that story.

Only good thing is if he indeed is at LSU and they say no in '13 he can go anywhere? Correct me of I'm wrong.

Ummmmm, if a possible outcome was for me to pretty much gurantee that I'll be a junkie on the street I'd most certainly take the time to get right and take that gamble.

No idea on what other path. It just isn't unheard of. He might decide raising sea monkeys it what makes him happiest. Becoming a NFL great could be another. Just saying that that once people really find themselves and get their life on track the path could lead anywhere. Being the greatest LSU DB ever would make a bunch of fans very happy, but it doesn't mean it's the best thing for TM.

Well this as with everything else is speculation. Who is to say that behind the scened he was told you do A, B ad C and next year you can be on the team. Do any o yall really expect any word on this from LSU. If so then tou will be dissapointed.

We will not hear anything definative from either camp unless there is a transfer. If he does enroll back to LSu then you can take it that there was some agreement on team reinstatment for '13.

The pros of getting his life straight far outweigh going to Nichols/mcneese this year.

Again, are you serious. That outcome is possible anywhere. He's had the same support system for three years that everybody is saying now he needs so much. The majority of ppl who go to rehab , "go to" rehab for a reason. They get any from thr ppl they were associating. So I'm not sure how staying at LSU means fame and recovery, and elsewhere is a high percentage of failure. If he seriously wants to get clean then he should be able to do that anywhere.

You can't prove that. It's speculation. If he wants to stay clean then he will. He can do they same thing elsewhere. That fictional statement below is just as plausible.

NFL "Well he left behind his demons at LSU and played good football this year. He looks to have turned his life around after he got any from the ppl he was associating with"

I don't think he can get a guarantee at this time. This is a significant issue that could effect the reputation of the institution as a whole. The Chancellor will want a say in this. The problem is that there is no permanent Chancellor at this time. Miles and co can't guarantee how the new guy will respond. This puts TM in a sort of dead space where if he chooses to stay it will have to be a faith based decision.
