hell be back in school in the spring at lsu
assuming nothing changes in the next 48 hours, would have to be a drastic change imo

quote:Whose decision is that?
rocket scientist....actually it does appear he is considering sitting out a year and going to LSU
quote:Here's where I think you and I got off track. I agree 100% with this. I was talking about TM having some part of the decision as to whether he transferred, or stayed AT LSU...not on the team.
if you mean to the team...again, not just up to him
quote:I believe this also.
this is where everything got messed up....and why lsu is being so careful. They expected him to transfer.
quote:I think that depends on who "LSU" is in the equation.
LSU just wants him to transfer and to do well in life

At least that's the implication from his family. NOTHING has been guaranteed by LSU other than he can still enroll in school then. Tyrann has to choose if he wants to take a chance on the long road back to LSU or the short/easy road to the NFL and eventually out of the NFL and in rehab.

again, not just up to him.
I think LSU's position is "Look, we can't guarantee you anything....If your desire is to stay at LSU, clean yourself up and attempt to rejoin the team down the road, don't get your hopes up because there are absolutely no guarantees of that. Is it possilbe? ...Maybe, maybe not...We'll review down the road. The best football path for you would probably be to transfer and go pro after this season. Either way, we want you to succeed in life and only want the best for you."
Close?

FWIW, all I'm saying is that, well, you were being a prick about it instead of showing any respect to anyone.
VC - i'm not going to fight over who's right and who's wrong (you could possibly be right, then again, you could be WAYYY off)... all everyone wanted to know yesterday was who are your sources??? you are trying to pass around a lot of info as fact, but until you state where you're getting you info from, it really means nothing

quote:I for one didn't wanna know who his sources are. I don't know who Redfield's sources are. I just didn't care for the condescending presentation. I now have learned that he doesn't give a shite about what I thought about it, and that's OK too. I just wish he'd quit passing stuff off as fact that clearly isn't, and assuming he knows what everyone else is thinking. I never said it was Mathieu's decision as to whether or not he would be ON THE TEAM again, but it is most certainly his decision whether he will stay at LSU or not, and if he chooses not to, then it would end all hope of him ever being on the team again.

I'll let that slide. I will say your first posts stated otherwise.

Absolutely not up to just him. I never said it was.

That is why I put the "IF" in caps. There is no telling what will happen if he decides to try.

yes
An agreement. We can build on this.

I just wouldn't say they want him to transfer. I think they want him to make the best decision for him to do well in life and aren't confident in his ability to stay on a good path. Has nothing to do with not wanting him back IMO.

None of us ever stated it was 100% Mathieu's decision, but VC apparently has a reading comprehension issue.

quote:Nobody did. And only one person has said TM has no part of the decision...yet that person talks down to us commoners without sources...
Absolutely not up to just him. I never said it was.

Yeah, I think there was just "miscommunication."
TM definitely gets to decide where he goes from here, but it is certainly LSU's decision (and LSU's decision alone) whether he ever gets to put on an LSU uniform again. And LSU doesn't have to come to any public/official/permanent decision anytime soon, other than the decision that TM is not currently on the team and will not be on the team for the 2012 season. Could they review the situation at a later date? Probably, but there's no point in speculating on that at this time because that's a long time away and there are many variables that would prevent that review from ever happening or becoming necessary.

Not to mention all the shite he said was known by all. He didn't offer any new info/speculation. He was pimping Bohansen's quotes and totally ignoring Herb Vincent, Les Miles, Tyrone Mathieu....

lol...probably am a dick...just really busy, and no time for nonsense...some of these people on here just don't think much.....I guess i'm not very tolerant to ignorance.....ha
I'm really tired of the topic, and ready to focus on the 2012 Tigers.......and wish TM the best.

yeah....true. I don't know the nature...just speculating like everyone else. All I know is that LSU had enough of it....and things didn't exactly go the way LSU thought they would once he was dismissed.....and they aren't thrilled.
