Probably spending too much time posting on Tiger Rant under all of his alters. I see two of them in this thread already.
He was afraid that you would be there. He was afraid that you would confront him and demand that he resign.

From the Advocate:
quote:
"Les called me this morning, and we had something come up," LSU Athletic Director Joe Alleva said. "He had to go out of town. He asked my permission, and I told him to go ahead. He had to go. It was important that he go do it."

So in his place they sent Crowton?

Wow - I wonder what came up that was serious enough for Miles to not show up to the Baton Rouge TAF dinner.
ETA Crowton quote of the year: "I can’t wait to open that lid and take a big bite out of that pudding." (Somewhere, Phat Phil's stomach growled.)

Alleva is probably hoping Les is interviewing for another job.

Thanks for posting that.

He went to see Oswalt sign with the Phillies and then jetted over to the X Games.

Anyone have any intel on why Miles was not able to make the TAF event in Baton Rouge last night?
Actually he is going to be bama's HC. $abun is moving to the AD spot but will be working from lake house only. For that bama will be paying him 12 mil per year. They are gonna pay Les 4.5 mil per.

Miles had a "Want" to be there?
Posted on 7/30/10 at 11:25 am to diehardfan
I know this is a giggle fest, but on a serious note I think it's telling that Alleva would make it clear that Miles asked permission (had to ask permission). There's something about the psychology of it all that I find interesting. Who's in charge, etc.
