Just read the article about his dad dying at 32 and a LSU alum.
I'm pulling for this kid big time.

hes a stud. i told peopler a couple weeks back in thread about the of saying mikie needs to see playing time. he is right under jared mitchell in terms of athletiscm.

He comes from a GREAT family in Lafayette. After hisFather passed away, his Uncles, Greg and Ronnie, just about took over his up-bringing as well as his Mother. He is going to be a beast for the next couple of years until the majors get him.

Future is bright with freshman like Mahtook, Hanover, Nola, Dozar, Ott etc...

Our outfield is ridiculously fast. Mitchell, Landry and Mahtook are all ~4.5 guys and thats not even considering Chad Jones.

been watching him play since he was 8 on a team from Lafayette. that team he was on was loaded with talented kids. 2 are at LSU and one is at Bama. im sure others are playing somewhere but these are just the ones i know about.
but Mikie was a stud for them he played CF and could hit the baseball like a grown man when he was 14.....
oh yea and his mom is pretty damn hot as well...

Late to the thread...... been at softball practice all afternoon.
Glad someone started a Mikie thread. I've been a casual (very casual) acquaintance of his family through the yrs, I have son that graduated with him at STM, and have watched Mikie blossom as a man and an athlete since jr high.
He's Lafayette's favorite son, and I, as well as alot of people here are wishing him all the best.
ETA: as mentioned above, his mom is indeed a hottie, as in a "very not-legit WYHI"........respectfully speaking, of course.
