Sounds like from that audio JJ has changed his mechanics a lot.
This is the key. This was the only thing stopping him from being a really good QB and I blame crowton. I think his bad attitude (at times) and eratic accuracy had a lot to do with poor mechanics and a playbook with too much hully gully stuff in it. I think he is a superior athlete with lots of great big game experience at this point. IF the footwork gets better and his throwing motion gets more efficient (quicker release) I see him doing very well this year.

Best news I have hear is that LSU this year under Krag will not be running a different formation every play. Krag has cut the playbook in half so to speak by cutting all the multiple formations that would tell the defense what play we were running.
Hope JJ is improved but the formation fiasco has apparently been corrected so that should produce some dividends for the offense where as we still have to wait and see the truth about JJ when under fire.

It was partly that
I think a big chunk of the offense was based around individual plays in certain formations for certain players. It was a huge "tell" for crowton.

Some see his cocky quotes and think the worst, to me, I see the mindset I have been wanting to see from him. He finally has that Narcissistic attitude that most QB's have.
how's he looking in 7 on 7s, playa? we need to hear how he's doing when he ain't throwing against air. is the swag still on a trillion then?

Or if he shows up and plays well at Oregon due to the long prep time
Where did this "long prep" time stuff come from and what guy/team doesn't have a good chance of playing better when they have more time to prepare/rest/get healthy?
We had lots of time before Penn St last yr and play poorly. We had a normal schedule before Arkansas last yr play pretty well. We had lots of time before NC this yr and have a up and down game. We had a normal schedule before Old Miss this season and play pretty well on O.
Not saying there is nothing to it, I just don't see where it's any set rule that can by itself predict how we or any player plays.
I don't care who starts. They all wear P&G, none of them name themselves starter, and the staff is going to start who they think offers LSU the best chance of success and with this staff's history of success, that's good enough for me.
