It’s so devestating to think about. The chance to make millions is right there for these kids for being amazing athletes and then something like this happens.

At least the kid will stay on full scholarship and have an opportunity to get a degree and become a productive member of society. When one door closes another opens.

Kind of off topic but I have known several kids that accepted offers to play for schools and then had career ending injuries in high school. I often thought these kids should still get the scholarship but it wouldn't count against the cap. The kid could then be a trainer or perform some other function during the four years they are attending school.
