Not trying to rain on any parades, but Murray was actually named the SEC offensive player of the week by the league and the Walter Camp offensive player of the week. LINK

The dart he threw to Landry on 3rd and 22 in the 4th quarter in damn-near triple coverage was insane.

It was to OBJ.

Yup. Looks like nobody read that the article is actually a writer opinion of Metts performance for the game.

I still think Mett was the more impressive passer.

I do. When was the last time you saw an LSU QB perform at that level? Not in your lifetime, dork wad. So, STFU.

His typically powerful running game was accomplishing very little and his defense was completely ineffective. That left it up to Mettenberger and his talented team of wide receivers to help the Tigers stay in the game, and they did, scratching back to take the lead late in the fourth quarter before Georgia ultimately scored the game-winning touchdown

Metteberger truly carried this team.

To be nice, what a jerk!

What a shame to have such a talented offense (with Mett at the helm) and have such a young inexperienced defense. It would have been nice to have all the pieces together in one season. But such is college football. Where the very talented leave early for the Pro's. Despite the heartbreaking loss we still can win it all. Granted it would take a miracle turnaround on the defensive side of the ball, or a schedule equivalent to Bama's. Here's hoping Chavis can turn it around. The offense is more than good enough.

Air Mett

The young man played a great ball game. He is rocking the QB slot this year and I think some NFL teams are looking.

Who knows, we could become QBU with Cam at the helm.

We are going to have our way with Bama and with that Mett will have torched Johnny fooseball and the Bammers. Pretty nice resume.

Yes it was in a losing effort, but Mettenberger's play against Georgia was about as impressive as it gets.

and Mettenberger still had a higher quarterback rating for that game than Murray did:

HELL to the YEAH METT!!

Still amazing that "fans" want to shite on anything positive coming after the loss! Had the D played lights out and Ego (as an example) recieved such an award then it would all be the same shite.

The TEAM lost; Mett got deserved recognition; and THE RANT at the play of Landry, OBJ (minus the muffed punt) and Boone for a combined 326yds/3TDs; the D got !!

It is what it is..... could've and should've never won a fricking game. PEACE!
