Update through 12 games (also added “wins above bubble” metric, which selection committee uses)

Predictive Metrics
KenPom: #40
ESPN BPI: #47
Bart Torvik: #39

Results-based Metrics
NET: #41
ESPN SOR: #33
KPI: #30
Wins Above Bubble: #30

ESPN Bracketology as of 12/23 has LSU as 9 seed. Generally speaking, you need to be top 50 (top 40 almost guarantees) in most of these metrics to have a strong at large candidacy.

Predictive metrics will continue to penalize LSU some relative to results-based metrics given how bad LSU finished the season last year. That will normalize over remainder of year.

Update through 13 games:

Predictive Metrics
KenPom: #38
ESPN BPI: #47
Bart Torvik: #34

Results-based Metrics
NET: #34
ESPN SOR: #30
KPI: #29
Wins Above Bubble: #27

Strong performance against Southern Miss moved LSU up 3-6 spots in most of the key metrics above.

ESPN Bracketology as of today has LSU as a 10 seed. Bracket Matrix (database of various Bracketology projections) has LSU as a 9 seed.

Quad 1 opportunity on Saturday in College Station.
