To be fair, JD5 made DRAMATIC improvements in throwing in the course of about 7 days. The FSU outing was very discouraging and looked just like 2022. From Grambling on, he became superman.

I'll say this much, FSU was not JD5's best game, however I said at the time and still believe there were about 5 reasons ahead of JD5 as to why we lost that game.

Two second half drops were critical drive killers and I thought (some have disagreed with me) that the interception occurred on a PI against Nabors.

I thought some questionable red zone and short yardage goal line calls in the first half were also critical in that game. Kelly even admitted as much post game. JD5 had over 450 total yards in that game.

Hell if that was his worst game, it was better than Nix's last night IMHO.

This is his 6th year”

“He is who he is”

Lol. Good comment. I am laughing at myself because I was in that boat during the off-season. I have eaten my crow this year. I thought we had seen enough of JD to know who he was. He deserves a ton of credit for the improvement. I have never seen a player improve as much. Cudos to JD!

Bro we beat Bama last year and played in the SEC championship game. Was Jayden bad at Arky and A&M last year? Sure, but he was also brilliant against Bama and Florida. He didn’t really have a bad game all year long this year, and the board for the first 5-6 games were calling for Nuss everyone we punted. This is most definitely the ‘I told you so’ moment I think it is.

Wrong. If Nuss beats Bama in 22 and leads us to an SEC championship game I’m not calling for his job. That’s just dumb.

Yes, there was. The first year when he wouldn't throw, couldn't see the field. Wouldn't let his receivers go fight for it. Even the first game this year looked like a lot of the same. You're the moron. The world didn't start spinning week two.

I find it funny that your answer to this was smug and sarcastic…and then you asked the same question.

We cannot all agree that Jayden was a liability last year. You’re on your own and you’re wrong. Just deal with it.

If you’re still trying to convince people that you “used to be right” about Jayden then you need to grow up and get a life.

No one cares what you thought you knew. You’re a moron for still trying.

Hell of a presumption.

Not only am I one of the last people to have endorsed that criticism, that past criticism was still correct at the time. You have eight year old logic.

Just admit that Jayden improved, and that there was a time in the past where it was reasonable to want to give Nuss a shot over Jayden. That's what that comment was saying. Not this year. 2022 is not 2023. Keep up.

Yes.

No.

I understand everything you meant. You don’t have to explain it. But you’re in a very small minority here.

It was meant to be, obviously.

Bc of sarcasm…was it not obvious?

So you think he didn’t limit the offense by not pushing the ball downfield last year, got it.

You’re on your own and you’re wrong. Just deal with it.

He’s not on his own. Jayden’s been a bright spot since he won the job. Was he perfect? No. Was he our best option? Absolutely.

He’s been the best option ALL ALONG. Nuss was NEVER a better option. There’s a reason he didn’t get the job in camp, and he’s(JD5)the next fing Heisman. You’re delusional.

Cool, neither am I.

Here’s my previous post in this thread in reference to his ability to how he was playing.

Potential

That was everyone’s gripe bc the offense could be explosive, I’m not sure anyone denied that!

Like I said, he put in the work and made that change to be better on deep ball and actually throw it!! By not doing so in 22 he limited the offense.

If y’all think his style of play (hesitant to push the ball down field) in 22’ didn’t limit the offense, that’s on you. I didn’t post he should have been benched, just his play warranted criticism. It’s odd to see some of you think that’s controversial.

Criticism is fair. The post is about those who went beyond being critical, and were calling for a future Heisman winner to be benched. Leading a team to an SEC West championship, and beating Bama in your first year as starter shouldn’t have you in a place where every time there was an incompletion, or we had to punt there were 4-5 posts in scoreboard saying it was time to bench the guy. That shits just dumb, and it was our reality basically till the Missouri game.

No, I'm not. You must have forgotten, oh, the entirety of 2022. You are looking back with 2023 glasses on. He was good in the back half of last year and often honestly bad in the first half. You're lying, either to yourself or me. But you misunderstand the point the poster made as well as much of Jayden's performances early last year. I can't help you there. You've been corrected. Do with that what you will.

I have forgotten nothing. Stop trying to explain it. I always thought Jayden was a great QB, and that he should have started every single game.

You're just getting triggered that no one agrees with you. Get the frick over it. I think you're an idiot for ever thinking Nuss should start, but I'm not going to waste all day trying to convince you. You're entitled to your wrong opinion.
