Yup that was the game.... I understand they had a tough game at FLA, BUT They should have been able to play the 2nd string the whole game and played better that day... I don't believe in trap games for a school with as much talent and depth at LSU,, You schedule these game to give your team a neede rest, BUT LSU had/has enough depth to dominat a Div 1-AA team... I don't care who they play before or who they play after,,,,,,,,

How bad did AJ play against NMSU last year??? Just saying... WE still have NOT seen Harris START a game since the AU game last year... Should he be better?? Of course I would hope he improves greatly.... But Miles is not gonna show a whole lot against McNeese.. We run the ball at least 50 times and throw MAYBE 20 passes...........

LSU can run for 300 on McNeese and they know it so why not let BH gain as much confidence as possible going into league play.

They did dominate them, unless you think 3 TD win isn't domination. What about Bama in 2011 that had a 45-21 score against FCS team Georgia Southern? It was 21-14 at the half this was after playing Miss St, and before the Iron Bowl. Neither SEC team was ranked at the time.

What about Florida in 2011 loaded with talent and depth (oh BTW they finished with only a 7-6 record), who was 54-32 against Furman? How could a Muschamp led defense, that had Meyer and Charlie Strong loading up the defense with talent before he got there, give up 32 points and 446 yards of offense to Furman? It was 22-7 Furman LEAD after the first quarter. A 22-27 UF lead at half and a 32-37 UF lead going into the fourth. They had a 15th ranked USCe team before that game, and unranked FSU after. Or what about 2012 when they went 11-2? They were 10-0 against Jacksonville state after the first, 17-0 after the half, and finished 23-0. That was between playing ULL and 10th ranked FSU. What about the loss to then FCS school GSU the next year? Look at the recruiting rankings and tell me they should have lost? Look at the defensive recruiting rankings, and tell me they should have gave up 430 rush yards and 26 points by a 3rd year Muschamp defense LOADED with 4 and 5 stars? That game was sandwiched between 11th USCe and 2nd FSU.

What Auburn last year loaded with talent (check the rankings), and beat Samford 31-7? It was 17-7 at the half. That game was sandwiched between #16 UGA and #1 Bama.

There is 3 teams just in the SEC loaded with talent, that also struggled with FCS teams later in the year sandwiched between opponents. I don't feel like looking at teams outside of the SEC, but I'm sure there are a couple more.

That wasn't for you. That was for the Cowpoke comparing playing an FCS team in the middle of the season sandwiched between ranked SEC teams, against playing an FCS game one when your team is fresh.

How good did Harris play against that same NMST team? It went from 14-0 with Jennings, to 28-7 with Harris in that first half. It didn't matter who played, we were still scoring. Even with Jennings turning the ball over 3 consecutive drives, we were still up by 14 in the first.

Harris threw the ball 14 times against NMST. He put up 178 yards and 3 TDs through the air. He ran 5 times for 36 yards and 2 TDs. 19 touches is all it took for him to put up 214 yards and 5 TDs.

Harris went 4/5 62 yards and 1 TD against SHSU. He also carried the ball 5 times for 53 yards and a TD. 10 touches is all it took for him to put up 115 yards and 2 TDs.

So he went 15/19 (79%) 240 yards (12.63 ypa) 4 TDs, 10 car 89 yards (8.9 ypc) 3 TDs against 2 cupcakes as a true freshman.

Using those two games with a bunch of true freshmen at skill position, and him being a super raw true freshman himself (i mean he was really green especially about knowing the offense), I'm pretty sure he can handle McNeese being 20lb+ heavier, and all the skill talent, including himself, with a year of experience. Cam/Miles don't have to show shite man. They didn't last year with Harris in these cupcake games, and he still lit it up.
