Yeah, just like every year was Wade's year. This year will be better we going to final 4! Dude dumped his checking out for talent and did nothing with any of it. At least buy a championship. His teams were so fundamentally lost on the court it was ridiculous. He rode talent plain and simple. Let the athleticism override their faults until it was time to put big boy pants on.

He hardly played at all this year. Averaged 2 pts and 2 boards per game.
So a little room for improvement then. Geaux Tigers!!

Better winning percentage than any LSU coach since the 1940's, made 4 NCAA tournaments in a row (yes we were safely in the field in 2020), and won more SEC games than any other coach in the conference for the last 4 years, but sure, continue to argue that he had nothing to show for it.
If you want to see what a recruiter that cannot coach looks like, go observe Memphis for the last 4 years.
Johnny Jones also had at least one top 5 class while at LSU, how did that work out?
ETA. Go look at Jay Wright's first 5 years at Nova, Bruce Pearl's first 5 years at Auburn or Tony Bennett's first 5 years at UVA. Wade was on a similar trajectory as these coaches, who all took over non-blue blood programs and made them basketball powerhouses. Actually from a NCAAT appearance standpoint, he was ahead of the curve.
