Maybe NOT Cincy for Burrow? Did Joe open the door to other options today?

In his TMZ interview today, Burrow seemed to do just that.

He was asked if he would play at Cincy. He gave his standard "I'll play anywhere" answer. Then he said this about Cincy:
quote:

'We both have processes to go through. They have theirs, I have mine. Who knows what could happen. You want to be the number one pick, but at the same time you want to go to an organization that is committed to winning. As committed to winning as I am."

He looked dead serious. And Ohio fans would be disappointed if Cincy didn't work out. But I'd guess they'd support his decision. Just like they did when he chose to go to LSU.

Hmmmmm... LINK

I think you are reading too much into a broad answer. He will be in Cincy next year.

His dad said something similar to that on Off the Bench a few weeks ago. Then walked it back a little.

In your opinion, how should he have answered that kind of question without shutting any doors?

Did n't say the part about "As committed to winning as I am". THAT is about as committed as a man can get.

I thought Burrow would be willing to sluff through a few crappy years at Cincy. Now I doubt that.

Plus having CAA in place. CAA has the fire power to cut big deals.

Exactly

And if they don't, I wouldn't blame him for putting the pressure on for a move. i'm sure CAA isn't thrilled with Cincy

That "reporter" sounds like a hack. Let the guy go on his way, do you really give a shite how Joe Burrow likes his steak cooked?

Until the Bengals purchase jugs machines for the receivers, I do not see this as a viable option for Joe.

Probably is a hack. But doesn't change the fact that Joe wants an organization that is, "as committed to winning as I am". That's not Cincy

They have jugs machines already. But they keep them locked up in a closet.

LOL

You have zero understanding of Burrow and his abilities. here's one of your "pearls of wisdom" from last Summer. LINK
quote:

Defense usually dominates early on (this is true for every level of football).

LSUs defense is ridiculous, they will have to keep our offense in the first 3-4 games.

Joe will tell you exactly what is going on. You just have to listen. "40, 50, 60 points a game", for instance.

BTW, the first 4 games of 2019, LSU scored 55, 45, 65, and 66. Nice work, Nostradamus
