Maybe Floyd needs to warm up about 30 to 45 minutes longer

If he can get past the first 2 innings without giving up 900 runs, I feel he’s pretty rock solid for a good 5-6 innings

Isn’t he throwing harder than he was last season? If so, I wonder if he’s still trying to figure out how to get it under control.

Maybe he needs to throw a couple of innings to some local high school kids than catch an Uber to the game

I’m thinking he’s maybe a little too amped up in the early innings. Once he settles in and his fastball velocity goes down to around 92-93, he seems to pitch much better. Maybe just a case of overthrowing early on and not getting good enough movement and command of his fastball.

He was back up to 95-96 this inning. Case in point.

It seems like base runners mess with him really bad.
