Something is definately not right with his mechanics or arm angle. Everything he throws just seems so hitable

Hitters are laying off and not chasing that slider out of the zone this year. As someone else said, when he doesn't have THAT going for him, an 84 mph fastball w/ no movement = high school stuff.

It could be like Trey Watkins. He said in the paper today he had to do something special to get out of PM's doghouse so maybe PM is telling Matty to shite or get off the pot as well.

he pitched too long in that extra inning game against Alabama a while back. Hasn't been the same since. He might just have a tired arm.

He was late to a meeting earlier this week. Heard this from the team chaplain who saw him getting his arse chewed out by PM. Ott didn't look too happy.

I also think this has to do with girl issues. Probably a teammate fricked his girlfriend. Idk but the dudes confidence is nowhere to be found. The main reason I have this opinion is bc PM was yelling at him from the dugout during his appearance vs moo st "quit feeling sorry for yourself"

Anyone noticed how he seems to be crouched down when he starts his delivery the last few games? This might be an attempt to correct mechanics. Just seemed odd to me and he doesn't seem comfortable. Telling stat is his K/BB ratio this year to last year. He can't be successful at this level if he doesn't have his control. Everything he throws in the zone is up so he's getting crushed.
