I'd rather have Coleman closing. He's the senior and I would rather have a senior closing than a freshman

SO you would rather have the same frosh go 5-6 innings? Ott is as solid a frosh pitcher I have seen in years.. He had a backdoor slider the hardest ball to hit in baseball. That pitch alone has closer written all over it.

A closer can pitch more than 1 game in a weekend series b/c he only has to pitch 1 or 2 innings. Would you rather have Ott in that role or Coleman. He starts a weekend game, pitches 5, 6, or 7 innings and thats it you can't use him anymore that weekend.

I would rather Ott close and Coleman start... with Coleman starting its more likely he'll go deeper in the game and you'll end up having to use few relievers. Also Ott has looked very good so far this year, and in his first sec series he went 3 up and 3 down for all 4 innings he pitched (counting the one saturday and 3 sunday) and looked awesome. I'd take having Coleman give us a deep quality start on the weekends pitching 6-7 innings and having Ott close throwing 3- 6 innings a weekend... it's close but you'll probably get more innings out of Coleman as a starter... why wouldn't you want him to throw as many innings a weekend that u can get out of him?
