Just finished watching his JUCO championship game from last night. I was impressed. Seems to be the real deal. He spent the whole game running for his life because his O line looked like swiss cheese. He was sacked 4 times. I know the offense was built around him, but Butler is definitely a one dimensional throwing team.....no running game to be seen. Problem is that the defense knew it and gave Mett hell.
I really thought he did a good job on his check-offs and he has a good feel for pressure. He got out of the pocket when he needed to, but missed a few wide open chances to run close to the goal line while looking for open targets.
I am definitely excited to have him as a Tiger. I really think he could be what we have been waiting for. Nice to see him in Purple and Gold...even if it was a Butler Uni.
