I've read too many posts about about how JJ can't lead us to a championship, when we had guys like Mauck and Flynn lead us to them.

Mauck or Flynn >>>>>>>> Jefferson

No, it's not the defense that's ranked in triple digits.

A good running game that sets up the playaction pass will do wonders for a QB like JJ. Flynn and Mauck had that advantage and i hope LSU can run the ball next year as well

That's because opponents knew they couldn't just ignore the downfield passing game when Flynn and Mauck were at QB, so they had to play the run honest. Knowing Jefferson couldn't piss in the ocean if he were standing in it, they can stack the box, stop the run and blitz without having to worry about getting burned deep. He's the worst QB we've had this decade. With Marcus Randall the last two years, we lose no more than half of the games we've lost in that time.

Flynn was definitely more turnover prone than JJ

It is rather easy to not throw INTs when you don't throw the damn ball. He takes more sacks than I can ever remember a QB taking. Now I agree with previous posts that say our OLine isn't as good as 03 and 07, but I refer you back to my previous post also.....JJ just doesn't learn. STOP TAKING SACKS...THROW THE DAMN BALL AWAY!!

Regardless of your opinion on any given QB who performed for LSU this decade, the facts are that LSU was blessed with QB's who made plays in championship situations. JJ stepped up huge against Ark. and hopefully that will spring his game up a notch. Davey, Mauck, Russell, Flynn and RP all displayed the ability to perform at their highest level when the chips were down. Of that group, only JR failed to win an SEC title, even though he did win the West and get to Atlanta once. JJ and JL were thrown to the wolves like none of the aforementioned guys and thus it is much harder to grade their ability to rise to the occasion. Lee did it a couple of times last season in spite of his struggles and now JJ has done it. Let's not forget he nearly accomplished it two weeks in a row. I suspect JJ will continue to grow and succeed as he progresses. Great defense is nice to have but Davey, and Flynn won SEC titles with good defenses that were unjury-riddled in the heart of SEC play. Granted, the Tiger defense was a bit healthier by the post-season for both those guys but they won big games with offense. In Flynn's case with great support from RP. Even MM stepped up and made huge plays in '03.(See UGA and Auburn in particular) Bottom-line, the '09 Tiger defense played well enough to have gone undefeated had the offense carried the load those past teams from 2000-2007 displayed.

Perrilloux played the whole Middle Tenn State game, big dog. Shouldn't you know that.

see its ignorant posts like that that make me ashamed to be a lsu fan. Jj has no running game because our oline cant get push, not because jj cant throw the ball. He has no running game no oline and inept playcalling and he has put up numnbers similar to flynn

If you could read.....I admitted that it was partly because of the Oline but if you would have watched JJ's delivery...the only thing that I can compare it to is Roger Clemon or Nolan Ryan delivering a fast ball to home plate....full on windup! Too many moving parts and too slow for a QB.......now go play with yourself then you would really see a reason to be embarrassed!!!

This is actually the exact opposite of what's happening.

What is your problem? Gawdayum. You are not an LSU fan, you are a Jordon Jefferson fan.
