I realize that our line hasn't been good this year, but he hasn't seemed to learn how to get out of trouble...hasn't learned when to throw it away....hasn't learned when to run....hasn't learned to "listen to the clock in his head"......maybe the problem is that he just simply can't learn!
Yes sir, if he couldnt get it in 12 games, he aint getting it next year...

The real reason we have not found success is because our quarterback's name isn't "Matt".

If it were Matt Jefferson? Matt Lee? Boom. Championship. That's all I'm saying.

I see the the OP's point. He's trying to say a championship team has to have a lights out defense. If you look at most NCAA championship teams their defenses to rank in the top ten the year they win the NCAA. But to say that a QB is not a championship QB because of this or that is just going to get the rant started which is why I think the OP was phrased with strong, flamboyant language. He was trolling and the fish bit!!!

Well since some on here discredit our 2007 championship becuase Les Miles was the coach and we had 2 losses and 2003 was a "shared" championship with the AP, I guess we have not had a championship anything according to most on here, since 1958.

We go as the offensive line goes...it sucks the offense suffers...that simple. Matt & Matt had the benefit of GREAT OFFENSIVE LINEMEN. JJ does not. If you can't see how much better JJ threw the ball when he didn't have to worry about a break down in protection, then you're just a hater or maybe another topic. Besides both Matts were seniors right?

not sure that there's a lot of disagreement on this. Though both were average enough to end up on NFL rosters. The point is that JJ is not yet playing at the level both Matts did, mostly because he's younger. JJ has to skill sets, but he is behind both Matts when it comes to pocket awareness/presence/poise. Hopefully, JJ will progress to a point where he's better than both Matts ever were. To suggest that he already is at that point is laughable.

Matt Mauck either.

Tired of hearing JJ can't lead us to the promise land.

"It's the defense, stupid!"

Oh ok it's the defense. Our offense being 11th in the SEC has nothing to do with it. I guarantee you our offense wasn't 11th in the SEC in 03 or 07. Now please leave and never come back.

Both Matts ended up in the NFL. It would not surprise me if Flynn is starting in a year or two. At this point in time I doubt JJ sniffs a practice squad when he is finished at LSU.

Great another year with a 1st or 2nd year player starting at QB? I can't wait.

Flynn was definitely more turnover prone than JJ, and we have no idea how he would have played as a true sophomore.

I will agree with you about Mauck...he just had an amazing cast around him and benif from a stron defense.

But the backup quarterback of the Green Bay Packers does disagree with you...Even the NFL was raving about how no one expected Flynn to be as good as he is. Flynn was def a Championship quarterback. JJ has some growing up to do. He can be, but he is not there yet.
