Couldn't agree more on the issue of the Matts and their mediocrity...
I think JJ has more accuracy and vision potential than both and about the same smarts. I also think he's getting cooler under pressure, that certainly comes with time.
I think 90% of LSU fans are inflicted by subconscious racism they can't shake...ie...they think JJ can't do it because he is black.
Give our boy time and he'll be more than sufficient.

You are correct about the sliding part when they run and I pointed that out to her. BTW, look at the film and tell me what per-centage of the time does JJ actually slide? I'd be willing to bet it is about (maybe) 20%.
I suppose JJ doesn't have time to think about this or he was never taught this? How many years has he been playing the game. And another thing, many QB's still do attack the attacker, whether you like that or not, it is a fact and at all levels. Like I said about Mauch and Flynn; they have grey where it matters!
And football, yea you may know things that I don't but I'd bet I know many things that you don't as well....

ETA: for those who don't understand genius:
There have been a lot of threads about how JJ is not a championship QB. Truth is, WHILE FLYN AND MAUCK DID WIN CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR LSU, neither were obviously championship caliber before their championship seasons. Regardless "it's the defense stupid".
Subtext: The best offense in the country is Houston (not sniffing a title). The best defenses are AL and FL. Where are they playing again?
I get what you are saying, but if a team doesn't have a championship caliber defense, which LSU doesn't (or didn't this year), you need a championship caliber QB.

i agree totally...2003 National Champs QB= Matt Mauck....2007 National Champs QB= Matt Flynn...I can totally see where your headed where these guys aren't CHAMPIONSHIP QB's...

TO bad Mauck or Flynn didn't play a year early (coaching decisions,injury)AND stay for another year we may have 4 or 5 NC that's how good they were! Smart thinkers new when to run with the ball , could feel the pressure.They both could pass well but didn't have to. Well balanced offense! etc.Some of u guys live on stats too much!Just win!!! I think JJ will be A OK if Miles does the right thing!!!
