talked to a guy yesterday that worked with LSU Basketball who was pretty confident Marcus would be a first rounder.

we need someone who can slash and get to the hoop. I think MT is a good player, just rather a different type of guard.

yes. probably alot more than you.
its not really his strong suit. he's a jump shooter. his game isn't similar to the really good 2 guards in the NBA. The Hornets should worry about drafting a PF or C before a guard in the first regardless...This post was edited on 5/14/09 at 8:57 am

After last year you can say this? After his junior year for sure but he got to the hoop very well last year and drew contact. Can't ask much more out of him except to grow 2-3 inches to be the best prospect.

You're not going to find a center that late worthwhile and why draft a PF whe nyou have David West? It's not like anyone we would draft would start in front of him.
Hornets need a SG.

David West may not be on the team by next season. So many rumors with him being shopped and where there's smoke, there is fire...

there's also a chance Tyreke Evans could fall to the Hornets. I'd prefer him to Thornton.

Either way SG is a bigger need. Rasual Butler is pretty bad.
