Let’s be real here. LSU fans would be singing this kids praises if he was committed to LSU
I wouldn't, and I've been adamant about that for months. This kid is highly overrated and LSU fans only want him because he's a Manning.

This is a thing I always put in my comment, yet nobody ever replies to it. What actually makes Arch so good in your eyes that you think he's even a 5 star, let alone #1 player in the country?

Dude is not elite in any category, yet somehow he is the #1 recruit and maintains that. Average athleticism, mediocre arm, mediocre stature, mediocre stats, mediocre accuracy, but he's a Manning, so he's automatically the #1 guy.

Pure insanity.

How much film have you watched? How about film for the other QBs in his class?

I've watched film on the top 10 QBs and Rickie Collins too, this kid Arch is extremely overrated.

Didn’t Texas loose to Kansas last year? At least LSU had a valid excuse. He wants to play there.

Well his last name is Manning. His family ties will get him drafted and his family ties are exactly why he is ranked as high as he is coming out if high school.

Y’all can love y’all some Manning’s but I have seen him play at Newman and I have seen his 7 on 7 videos where he is inaccurate with no pass rush. It’s there to see. I do not think Manning will best out Ewers at Texas. We will see.

You are correct. I saw Manning play vs Lafayette Christian in the 2A Playoffs last year.

Manning was nothing short of terrible.
Manning was 8 of 17 (47%) for 51 yards and had an interception. Manning led the Newman offense to a whopping total of
151 yards. He was slow, confused, and inaccurate and they were blown out 49-7.

You can also see Manning’s video at LSU for 7 on 7. He was inaccurate and consistently threw behind or high to his receivers. This is not debatable.

There is no way Manning is better than Holstein or Walker Howard and it is not close. If you love you some Arch Manning then good for you but I do not think he can beat out Ewers at Texas and I know he is nowhere near the #1 player in the country.

That's what I saw from the footage Larry posted... It looked like he was just sleepwalking. If he didn't want to be at LSU, WTF was he allowed to be part of that camp? Can someone provide some clarity? I won't accept "to get more practice"... cause He's wasting our time that could have been used by another QB recruit.

Arch Manning is currently the #1 ranked player in HS. 95% chance will be playing in the NFL in 3-4 yrs without injury.

I give the OP a little merit, the name gives him at least a star, who was that kid from Mater Dei/USC a few years back that was, as a hs freshman, anointed as the next... fill in the blank...? yeah, he got to the league for a cup but really didn't do shite at USC or in the NFL

Many of these guys on this board have opinions but have never taken the time to go to a game and WATCH a player vs decent competition and form an opinion based on what they see. Then again many don’t know what they are looking at to begin with.

Anyone who watched Arch Manning and came away impressed is either lying or just not a very good evaluator of talent.

Manning wasn’t even All District or All State at QB but he is supposedly the #1 recruit in the Country. I suppose all the coaches who vote on All District and All State teams don’t know what they are looking at. Lol.

All of these takes are absolutely ignorant. Are you claiming to be a better evaluator of HS football talent than the people who ranked him as the #1 player in the nation? As for "All-District/All-state" selections, for the most part those are extremely political and statistic based decisions. He still has his sr year to play so I wouldn't be so quick to assume he doesn't get that this year.

Over the years, there have not been many "top-recruits" that don't make it to the NFL. I'm talking top 2-3 guys.

Yes I claim to better than you at evaluating talent if I can see a supposed #1 player in the entire country look like total crap against a good 2A high school team and they throttle his arse all night long. Then the guy is not even voted by coaches in his district to be the best QB in one of the weakest 2A Districts in Louisiana. He doesn’t come remotely close to being 2A All State or 2A player of the year.

Saying all this some National supposed expert claims Manning to be the #1 player in the country and rubes like yourself who have never watched him play (& I know you didn’t) are convinced that all these other coaches and local experts don’t know what they are talking about because some “crystal ball” by some idiot has your respect. You are naive. Lol.

I am glad Manning isn’t at LSU and I doubt he finishes his college career at Texas.
