from the stories you hear from people from leesville, that kid's head wasn't on straight from the time he was like 15-16

he was being called the best RB in the last 15 years in the SEC before breaking his leg. He could have been right there.

flash in the pan

i can pick out 2 or 3 great games from a ton of RBs

that still doesn't explain why he was mediocre in 1AA and in the NFL before he went to jail

now i'm not saying he wasn't good, but he wasn't the best RB ever like many like to say

and he's not the talent that RP is

I saw him at LSU, he was up there w/ any RB I've seen in my lifetime. RP hasn't been avg at JSU

I love how one of LSU's most herald players, Faulk, spends the entire clip cheering on Cecil from the bench. His talents can't be overstated.

JSU sucks a-hole though. cecil went to a good 1-AA football program. i was talking talent compared to RP though

would you take cecil over any of the backs AU had in 2003? ronnie brown and brandon jacobs are tearing up the NFL and before caddy's knees exploded, he was ROY

I would take his talent over anyone's in the last 10 years outside of maybe McFadden

His diminution to McNeese is not the appropriate barometer of his talents at LSU. He was better than Faulk, finished I think 5th in the SEC after playing in only a couple of games, and was drafted despite his innumerable mental and legal problems. That is the very definition of talent.

210 and 4.55 speed?

you'd take him over jamal lewis, who ran a 4.37 at like 240 and tore shite up? or brown who ran a 4.35 at 235?

other than talent, both have produced consistently
