don't want PM fired but he certainly has to change a few things in regarding of how he coaches.
Agree.
I don't think he's washed up yet

I’m just glad Woodward doesn’t think like you betas do.
How do you know that? He may very well like CEO as coach.
He may very well like CPM as coach as well, though I hope not.
I will give you props though. You picked the two most hot button issues on this board to compare. This thread could go on for a very long while.

Agree, he needs to hire a experienced batting coach. May need to rethink how he trains pitchers next off season. Seems like we start every season with kids that are nursing sore arms. Something has to give. He is one of the top coaches ,I agree. But patience is running thin, can’t lie!

Agree with this. It seemed like every other week we either lost a pitcher or a pitcher was put on the shelf for a TBA duration. It was really perplexing.

No it’s not and it’s the reason why you aren’t an AD for a college program because you’d be making ill advised decisions left and right and would be fired within a year
Posted on 6/10/19 at 12:03 am to RogerTheShrubber
If we were a different program pretty elite would be nice
But for LSU it’s a ste back.
We used to be THE Elite
We were fricking Alabama of baseball.
Oh and we just missed the CWS so it’s 3/7

Who would you hire?

From ninth inning on it looked like every kid was trying to go yard. When announcers even said park was playing very big after sun went down. We need to hire a Hitting coach with successful experience Cain has to go too.

This is where people get mad because we are right there..... I mean even with the injuries we got to the supers.
I was wrong and I admit it. I didn't think we'd host a regional but that shows why I'm where I am and PM is the coach.
With that being said, he has to get a seasoned hitting coach. That's a must. And I don't know what is going on with losing pitchers seemingly left and right throughout the season but that needs fixing as well.

Too many free swingers and not enough working the pitchers, getting pitching counts up.

Who’s been our coach for 13 of the last 20 seasons?
“That’s wa forever ago”
It was like 6 years since our last NC when Mainieri took over.
PM has 1 CWS appearance before we hired him.
He was a good coach for a long time, but 13 years is just that, a long time.
Every year it seems like he just puts out as much talent as he can and hopes for the best.

Well we are not losing pitchers left that's for sure.

What I was referring to was losing Hill after about a month into the season, the kid never returned. Last I heard, he had a bad injury to his PCL. Storz has yet to return from last season, there are others but I can't think of their names, Veitmeier got hurt, Hilliard got hurt.....
It seems (why I stated seemingly losing pitchers left and right) like we don't have much depth in pitchers. This what I meant in a nutshell.
I don't know if it's the conditioning or what but it sure seems strange how it affected almost every pitcher we had this season.
I understand that sore arms and things along those lines are part of being a pitcher but what happened here this season seemed to be something a little more, I don't know if serious is the right word, but more than just sore arms. Maybe it's just me.

Ben, is O in the CFP in year 3? He was hired to compete for championships immediately. Year 3 is certainly the latest to be considered “immediately.” Will you make excuses for him if he isn’t? Of course you will, you fricking hypocrite
Sweet mother of God you're a crybaby.

Miles left us with shite .
if by shite you mean one of the most talented rosters in cfb, then yeah he left shite.
its pretty amazing how miles was fired for underachieving with all that talent while simultaneously leaving O with shite.

Les was in a position where he wasn’t even putting out an aesthetically pleasing product while going 9-3
2 of his last 3 offenses shite on anything O has put out there.

He was fired because he wasn’t winning enough
Anyone who things “aesthetics” would have mattered is full of shite.
If we were an ugly 11-2 he’d still be here
If we were a pretty 10-3 every year he’d still be gone.
they have to believe that stance so they can tout O having the same win/loss results as miles.

if o won a west title youd name your next child after him.
in the last 40 years only 1 lsu coach won a sec title with nothing but his players. take a guess which one.
