Pete Jenkins is going to get this straightened out pretty quick: he is setting Smith up with some one- on -one lessons with Chris Davenport.

Greg Penn and Sage Ryan WHIFFED on multiple tackles.
Tell me who didn't whiff on multiple tackles. I think both of those guys had one of their better games, the D as a whole just sucked. Perkins blew right by the ball carrier on the first TD run because he was so focused on the QB that he didn't realize the runner had the ball until after he was past him.
Defensive stats for the game by tackles.

Season stats, Weeks is a stud and will be near the top by seasons end.

Very good insight. What you describe is the hangover in the program from the 2020 and 2021 seasons. Two LA 5-star recruits who have not and are not performing up to expectations, and what appears to be no "team" accountability. When you listen to BK describe the situation, he's alluding to it as a missing element. He said Saturday night that these are the players we have and we will continue to coach them on leverage, tackling, and fundamentals. He believes they will pull it together. But all great teams have an internal "locker room" accountability structure which we don't seem to have yet. We're missing a few natural and vocal leaders who have proven it on the field. This will develop as the BK recruits mature, but it's a work in progress. This is what culture change looks like.
