I'll never understand ranter's innate need to be miserable. Even if it requires going back YEARS or even to a PREVIOUS coach - MORONS gonna MORON and find something to cry about.

It's an amazing skill you have to get being miserable from a thread that is titled...

Luv All The Optimism...

Then ends in...

Preparing for INCOMING!!!

Hoping and praying we will finally see the multi dimensional offense that the water cooler is serving up...

I get all optimism from this post and zero misery even if what was said about Miles was exaggerated. People were fed up with him (especially myself) and OP is celebrating supposedly moving into a very modern and dynamic offense. How much more positivity is needed to be acceptable for you?

Worst Interception I’ve Ever Seen An LSU QB Throw

It was bad, but I would have to think one of Jamie Howard's 27 interceptions in the 2nd half vs Auburn had to have been worse considering the score.

What rock were you under when he said they would "spread the ball out" and not be so predictable. His lips to anyone listening....Research the tapes!!!

The worst part is we had a freakin minute to get in FG range, and Fournette just ripped off a long run.

All we had to do was protect the football and pick up about 5 yards.

LSU's offense, unchanged and bumbling, stuns the college football world

So then LSU shouldn’t lose at all this season?

I don’t see anything to be worried about. Joe and Joe gonna score 40,50, 60 points a game.

Just amazed by the lengths posters will go to in order to quell optimism for others and themselves.

Yeah, you conveniently left out this part:

"BUT, I still have not forgotten when Les Miles lied to all of us saying he installed a new offense and LSU would 'open it up' and we got beat by Wisconsin in the opening game.

Can people calm down just a bit "

quote:

I get all optimism from this post and zero misery

You saw it different than I did then. Plus you skipped the part that would lead a person that was reading the post to see the misery.

quote:

about Miles was exaggerated. People were fed up with him

I don't think his post was meant to bash CLM. I think he just used bad wording so that is what some others locked-in on.

His intent was to quell optimism for this years team BECAUSE of what CLM promised and failed to deliver like it will happen AGAIN since it happened before.

quote:

OP is celebrating supposedly moving into a very modern and dynamic offense

Sure man, sure. His overboard celebration caused me to pass out for minute or two.

"Can people calm down just a bit "

quote:

offense. How much more positivity is needed to be acceptable for you?

I don't think I could take anymore without oxygen and alcohol.

You just can't beat positivity like this:
"Can people calm down just a bit "

Nah. That's what the hoping the water cooler talk would become true. Water cooler includes all of the positives that you listed previously.

Considering that the title of the thread is "Luv All The Optimism" I'm reading the calm down sentence to be directed at the naysayers, which is what makes it a positive thread.

You're just so used to looking for anything in a post to be negative that you didn't make the connection.

You are reading is wrong. Quit arguing and go read the OP again. It is simple enough to understand if you look at it.

"really like what coaching moves have been made to get this offense competitive in the modern era of college football. BUT, I still have not forgotten when Les Miles lied to all of us saying he installed a new offense and LSU would 'open it up' and we got beat by Wisconsin in the opening game.

Really?

He also had some issues early on at Michigan, and they weren’t pretty.

What issues could he have as a GA and OL coach? not bringing the coffee fast enough?

You remember how Michigan's oline performed 30 years ago?

This is funny coming from you. I suppose you aren't arguing in this instance and are always correct.

Damn, you take shots at the pumpers too.

You're a real piece of work. You create conflict and discord where there is none.

Nice to see that someone else got the same thing out of the OP that I did. You and I are supposed to be the negative ones here too.

I am not saying and didn't say that.

BUT, the thread title leads to a "BUT" comment which comes in the post.

I have misread posts before and will do so in the future but the OP in this thread is pretty straight-forward, even for me. You are wrong in this instance.

Besides, who are all these naysayers he is talking to?

Even if he wasn't finding a reason for himself to be miserable while dragging others down with him. I have not seen a lot if any opposition to the offensive changes.

He is saying he likes what has changed - coaches/system. BUT HE remembers Les, so everyone needs to calm down and not get excited over what someone says.

He's not saying he knows or has witnessed a great offense so ALL the people griping need to calm down. This is common sense here Luni.

I just did something I normally don't do and went and looked at the votes on the OP. It looks like you, Goldy and 11 others misread the post.

Over 20 people read it correctly.

That's really what you got from the OP? sounds like he's pretty excited about the season to start and thinks we'll do big things

If ANYTHING, he's bashing Les. Which is right up your alley.

You have been arguing with the naysayers for 3 years now. It's your purpose on this board.

From the OP...
quote:

I am a BIG 'Coach-O' fan and really like what coaching moves have been made to get this offense competitive in the modern era of college football.

quote:

GEAUX TIGERS........

This guy obviously hates Coach O and wants LSU to lose. He should be publicly flogged for is inflammatory comments about Orgeron.

He's straight up saying he likes Orgeron and what he's done in the off season while acknowledging that Miles did not do those things. THEN, he goes so far as to say he hopes all of the water cooler talk about this offense is true. You REALLY have to be looking for something negative to get what you're getting out of this thread.

If we are counting votes as right and wrong, then you're right about less than 1% of the time.

Eta; if it was one of your posts you would call the downvoters rantards, morons or fanboys. But, in this case they just happen to be right.
