They played 3 games of significance OOC, FSU/Texas/VaTech, and lost all 3.
LSU lost to FSU also, and lost to Houston OOC without any really decent OOC wins besides St Mary. You get seeding based off resume but you can advance based on more current data. I like LSU because they are a better team than they were OOC.
quote:
they went 1-2 against Mich/Michst.
and.... They lost the two on the road and won the one at home. I dont see this being an issue at all.
quote:
They are 7-7 in quad 1 games,
I understand the issue here, but they pass the eye test for me. If they play good basketball they can beat anyone but they can also lose; same as anyone.
quote:
and they have a Q3 loss.
A loss vs Notre Dame is basically the exact same as a loss to Okalhoma St. IDK how you can act just because 1 metric has Oklahoma St as a Q2 loss its better than a loss to ND. Not to mention they are both December/Nov losses that don't tell you much about the team currently.
quote:
There are only 2 other schools in the top 25 of NET that have a Q3 loss, Nevada and Buffalo.
A December loss DURING FINALS WEEK isn't gonna change my opinion of a team in March.

Tell me again why Purdue can do some damage?
They do a lot of good things. They have a 7'3" rim protector that blocks anything you bring in the paint. They rebound about as good as anyone. Their PG leader is experienced. They have length, mix up defenses, and have a COTY candidate in Matt Painter. They have a top 5 efficiency offense and a top 30 efficiency defense. They can win in different ways which helps when something isn't going right.
You can throw numbers all day and numbers develop seeding, but the tournament is all about who's playing best. I think they could definitely advance far in the tourney.

LSU would get upset in this game. Bradley is legit and a giant slayer. Anybody who watches college basketball would agree with me here.
They finished 5th in the MVC with a 9-9 record, 20-14 overall. 167th in kenpom.
They're lucky to be in the tourney, as their 15 seed reflects. They stink.

Yep. We haven’t had much success against big bodied Big 10 teams.
Yeah in past years, but this team isnt those teams.

Matt Haarms 7’3 250
Only averaging 5.6 rebounds per game,
Naz and KBW would frick this man up.

That bracket is already out of date. Zags got taken down a notch by the so-so St Mary of moraga ca.
This bracket was updated this morning. I too thought a loss to St Marys could knock them down to a 2 seed, but listening to the talking heads this morning thats not the case. Sounds like they are a 1 seed lock and Lunardi agrees.
ETA proof of this is that Lunardi has St Marys in the tournament as a 12-seed in the South region. The bracket clearly takes into account last night's game where they beat Gonzaga. Sucks for one bubble team out there, St Marys stole a slot.

The point remains that Purdue has won 1 game against a top tier team, MSU, at home, who they also got blown out by on the road. They are 6-6 on the road this year, and 2-2 in neutral site games. They've been blown out against the good teams they've played in conference on the road. Their best road win is an OT win against Wisconsin, and that's the only road win they have in conference against a team with a winning record.
LSU won on the road against a top tier team in Kentucky, and won at home against another top tier team in Tennessee without their best player. LSU is 9-1 on the road this year, and 2-2 in neutral site games. THey've beaten 4 tournament teams on the road this year, not counting UF win on the road, compared to Purdue's 1.
You don't play tournament games at home.

That’s a favorable bracket. We’d make it to at least the Elite 8 imo, even without Wade. Final Four very possible too.

10 out of 11 disagree with you so far

Would the West bracket 1/2 round be played in SLC?

I don’t like this bracket, Gonzaga would win this easily.

They started the season with one of their better players injured and lost a ton of games in the last minute.
Since then, they've been really, really good. Come back next week and I promise you they'll push whoever they play. Likely won't be LSU but Bradley CAN beat LSU.

it's looking more and more like there will be 3 ACC 1 seeds
I don't see the committee having three 1 seeds from the same conference.

Yea that ain't happening no more, Lunardi I think gets his wish, No Wade=4seed, With Wade=1, 2, 3 Seed. Bottom line fellas I think k if we dont have Wade the committee shows they will penalize us, NOw WAke THe F u C K Up And Reinstate My Coach U F aggot arse pussies!
